    Z1 22Ve whats the difference?

I'm thinking about buying another Tige, I really loved my 22V. What are the main differences between the Z1 and the 22Ve- besides the 1' length difference. To me they seem to be very similiar. I've always been a big fan of the traditional pointed nose.

    Thanks!!

the ve has a 102"beam vs the 100" beam on the z1.that plus the foot in length will make it easier to sink the z1 in the water.the z1 also has a excellent surf wake without alot of weight.i'm no expert but there are plenty of people on this site that can help you.do you have more specific questions?

I would say "big" Z1 is a great boat but when it comes down to it the 22VE is much larger IMPO. Going from a 22v to a Z1 would be a pretty good step down in size. Z1 has the sleeker style as the 22VE is more traditional. I would say make sure you drive them both....bring all your stuff and people you normally run with and see if it fits. Z1 maybe the 1 for you..never know until you try it.

We really like our Z1 but we have never been in a 22Ve, that said we have the factory 2008 ballast and it puts out a pretty respectable surf and wakeboard wake, we usually have 5 in the boat and have ran with 5 adults and 4 kids with no crowding issues, the Z1 runs better weighted in the bow as it likes to porpoise above 30mph with no weight up there. You will have to try one out to see if it will work for you.
Good luck in your quest and keep us posted

          Ve:
*Walk-thru transom and transom activity center. (seating and storage on the Ve and just seating on the Z1)
          *Larger bow seating
          *Larger mid-ship storage
*Teak or fiberglass swim platform (just fiberglass on the Z1)

Depending on what year(s) you are looking at, there may be more differences.

Thanks for the info, we really liked our 22v, sounds like the 22ve might be the right one for us. Unfortuantely there arent any dealers here in NorCal anymore...
