Two small, same color straps with snaps might be more than enough to keep them in place. Just an idea thrown out there. I know Tiges are several steps above this boat but maybe it would give you an idea that would work for your situation. When the snaps aren't being used they could be snapped up under the edge of the seat cushion hiden away while in use. Snaped down when traveling.

my 03 has this setup and it works well. I would go with this over thed hinges as well.

We have the snaps as well. Works great, leave unsnapped on the water, when wiping down at the end of the day, just resnap for the drive home.

just a suggestion i would get a lexan windscreen. that would cut the air flow down alot thru the boat and would be great for early spring boating and fall boating. just a thought. it wouls prob solve the cusion problem.

We have the windscreen. I hadn't even thought about that blocking a lot of wind though. I've never had one before on past boats. Boat's still in storage 8( ...Counting down the days...

You could also Velcro the seats down. There are various types of Velcro that would suit the job.

Had a cushion take flight on the water of all places. Made it down the country road no problem at higher speeds. Go figure. LOL Luckily they float & I turned around just in time to see it go straight up. Back to making an effort on putting something together I suppose.

I had definitely considered this, but the trouble is finding something heavy duty enough to work & making sure that it actually joins before I call it good. Any suggestions where to look or what type to get? I don't want the standard stuff you can get at the hardware store since it doesn't have the strength I would prefer or the lifespan.

Cooler lid. Went straight up in the air doing 40. I'm just glad we didn't lose it going down the road to the lake. Someone probably would have picked it up & turned it into some patio furniture or something down there. LOL
