    rz2 vs 22v vs 22ve

Can TO give me some info on these models? I've been looking at the 22v but with the recent tax return I'm now looking at the rz2 and 22ve but I would like to no if its worth the extra cash. Is one model better for surfing and another better for wakeboarding? Any coments would be appreciated

Are you looking at new or used Ve and RZ2? This may help because there are huge differences in the amenities of the new models as compared to the past years.

As far as surfing and boarding, they all can put out a great wake. The RZ and Ve are the same hull below the water line, so they will pretty much produce the same wake up to a point. I have been told that the Ve is a better choice for boarding if some one really weights the boat down. When heavily loaded, the pickle fork of the RZ plows.

The "V" hull was retired in 06. The hull is very similar to the Ve hull. Word is, the Ve got more rocker then the V. This I guess would improve the unweighted and lightly weighted wakes.

I haven't surfed yet in my 22Ve but without any ballast I am overly happy with the wakeboard wake. I would be able to report back about surfing in a couple of months.

I went with the Ve over the V because there was more capacity and it seemed that it would be a better all round boat. Not just a so so all around but a decent all around. The thing that probably takes the biggest hit would be course slalom skiing. The wakeboarding and surfing will be awesome. IMHO

Not necessarily fact but when I was looking it seemed that the 22Ve was about $10,000 more than the 22V and the RZ2 was another $10,000 above the 22Ve. These were in used boats.

You have probably already been told this but the biggest will be to get behind the ones you want and check them out. Evey ones opinions are just that, opinions. What your thoughts are of good might vary from someone else's.

        Good Luck with your search.

From a wake standpoint, there would be little difference between the three, they all have great potential.

The 05 22V could have Perfect Pass. That would be a small plus IMO over the 06Ve Accu-Set and the 07 Speed-Set. From there, it would come down to the features and options of the three boats. We passed on an 05 22V and went with the 06Ve just for the walk-thru transom and transom activity center. The 05 even had the 380HP, PP and ballast. You could call the dealer, I think they are still trying to sell that 05 They had it still listed last year i know Oh, did I mention we looked at it and bought ours in Feb of 06
