Boat bogs and wont go above 4000rpm

ok could be a couple of things here

I did change rotor, cap, plugs, and wires

everything was ok and was still missing a little so I changed the wires again. Still same issue,

I used fuel stable at the end of last season but I had the boat stored in my shop which only gets to about 50 degrees cold and gets really hot in summer,

I did change the prop but its a brand new one. Ideas?

oh ya, also checked the fuel water sep and the fuel was clean.

If it wasn't doing this before you worked on it, it's most likely related to something you did.

One other possiblity is the knock sensor. I had that issue with a ski supreme DD. The noise level inside the motor box was apparently loud enough to set off the knock sensor which would retard the timing above 3500 rpms or so. Boat ran fine till you tried to go WFO. As a test, you could just unplug the KS and see.

Are you saying the engine miss fires constantly and wont go over 4000rpm , or it runs fine up to 4000rpm and then bogs down?

we need more information boat model carb or fuel injection.how long was it stored? did you replace fuel filter?have you pulled plug wires one at a time?if fuel injectors pull them one at a time to locate miss.that is if it's a constant miss.more info please
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

so it's fuel injected and has electronic ignition.have you tried pulling wires and injector connectors to locate miss.or does it lose power and bogg like it's running out of gas.a ignition miss usually happens under a load.fuel delivery problems can be constant or at higher rpm's. still need more info.

so yes I did change the prop but it was the same one just new. Also did change wires but I have a feeling my throttle is messing up again. Wouldn't surprise me considering its the 3rd time its been fixed.

Pat is going to save the day.

It revs past 4000 rpm but wont go past 4000 rpm in gear. and yes it is boggy. Fuel filter? IDK

and Im having tower issues again. Cracking on the welds. Of course Tige is being a pain to deal with, send this, send that!

Im having Lightning build me one for 3k. Im so over the issues with this boat. I am a person who actually rides allot and use my boat. This clearly is a great boat but Im starting to wonder if it wasnt built for the amount of use I use it for.

Its cool. My lawyer has already been involved and hopefully tige just does the right thing and pay for my new tower

Last time I had to replace it, it was a complete pain. Had to re run all wires, sound system wires and boy was it cot fun. Not to mention the quick fix welds I had to pay for so that it wouldnt crack and come off!

As some may remember from before my old tower was cracked so bad that if it were to come off it may kill someone. No joke!

Come on Tige! I bought 2 boats from you, cant get more loyal than that.

                    ok so more info:

                    Last season changed
Rotor, cap, plugs, but not wires. Boat ran great but still missed a little, so the season ended and I ended up just now doing the wires. I guess well see.

I was thinking that possibly the computer was limiting the rpms for some reason, possible?

If its bogging down that would sound like fuel starvation, how many hrs on boat and when was last fuel filter checked?
