Nicky, My bottom cushions do not have the bolster. I know when we purchased 9 years ago, most had them, but mine did not and was less expensive. I think I got the bottom of the line interior. All are flat one piece. No seams to come loose though.
Go Tony. You will also enjoy the Tige support from the factory.

Lol that first green one is my old boat the guy bought it and has been trying to flip it ever since think I sold it around 12k and he added the wetsounds speakers that's it. But if you read his add he wants more if he includes the new stereo stuff. It is a clean boat but he is asking way to much.

That 21v poped up after I bought mine never checked it out in person.

This is mine for sale in Minneapolis, I am going to relist it for $17990/bo when I get back from vacation next week. Ive ordered a new one so trying to sell it for a little more than trade in if I can.

The interior with the bolsters is definately better looking!

The boat to me just looks really clean. The interior looks like original Tige Vinyl compared to other boats I have seen. The graphics are no big deal as they as super easy and somewhat inexpensive to change. I have a feeling that he just wanted a different look to the boat. As for the trailer I am guessing it is the stock trailer. Different dealers order different trailers and the original dealer probably bought Extreme trailers. I think that is what the Seattle Tige dealer used as well. It does give it a different look with the custom wheels and kind of weird guide posts. I kind of noticed the fender as well. It does look kind of caddilwampus. One thing I noticed is that the engine looks exceptionally clean. Almost brand new looking. Also, all the carpet, vinyl, helm and storage lockers look really clean and stock. It is just my guess but I think the boat was just really well taken care of. That is just my guess though.

I still haven't decided if I am going to buy anything though as a generally am a deal hunter. The last 3 boats I have bought I sold for more then I paid. I would think that even in amazing shape I could only get a max of about 20k in a couple years even if I added ballast and perfect pass. If I could find one in the 15-17 range close by I would be a lot more eager to buy.

I did find a couple other ads with each style of interior. I believe these were each 1999s like the one I posted. The non bolster one I am posting is from an ad to a rider's edition in NC for 18.5. It looks equally as clean as the one I originally posted but for 4500 less. If I could get that one in Idaho for about 18 or 18500 I would jump on it.

When we purchased ours, the one on the left was the "Limited" with the wood grain and nicer interior. The one on the right was the "Riders Edition". I think you could get the riders with the nicer cushions though. Both of those look really clean. I like my white and grey, much cooler than the colors, especially down here in the Texas heat!

I guess I didn't realise Tige had so many interior options back then.

I still think you are looking at putting a new tower on any of these except maybe the PhatBudde. It's the only real weak point of the older Tiges. This is assuming you'll want to keep it for awhile. Once that is done, the rest will be gravy. FAE, couple-O-sacs, basic stereo and you'll have sweet little surf machine.

I know they are thought of as bad towers but if it is in good shape with no broken spots is it really that bad. I would probably be using it mostly for surfing so I wouldn't think it would matter as much. With the board racks like he has added it give you room for 4 wakeboards and a couple surfboards layed on top.

We got 10 years out of ours and it didn't break until I accidently hit the house with it. Just keep all the joints tight every outing and you will be fine. It rocks a bit in rough water, but for surfing you will never notice. Boat puts out an adequate surf wake with no ballast and a killer wave with ballast. Enjoy.

FWIW, I've had four boards on that tower along with a big bimini and a tube and it made me nervous. A few surfboards and a bimini, no problem. Fully loaded with wakeboards, surfboards, bimini, speakers, lights and what not? It just ain't designed for that.

So long as you go into it knowing the deal, you'll be fine. If down the line you like the boat enough to keep it, she'll be ready for that tower.

For sure the more you load it up, the more it will rock. I had 4 speakers, bimini, and boards on top and in rough water it would get to rockin. Haven't installed my new Samson yet, but I am sure that it will be much more solid. Nicky is right, if you end up wanting to keep the boat like I am you can replace it then. In the interim, you will enjoy the boat just like it is.

I honestly don't think I would add tower speakers and would probably pull the bimini off. I live in Seattle and I don't have kids. I want as much sun as possible. So you think with a couple wakeboards and a couple surf boards it would be fine as long as it is tight and doesn't have any cracks?

I think if I buy one and replace the tower it will be with a Star One or whoever makes the Titan II now a days. I think that would be a great looking tower for the boat, it is easy to add racks, bimini, speakers, is custom to the boat and is not much more then a Monster. I am not sure how close it would be but you could possibly even use the stock tower mounts for the Titan style tower.

I would think you would be fine. The speakers add a lot of weight. If you put a couple of boards up there, I don't think you would notice it much. After adding the weight of the speakers, it definately made the sway worse. The tower is not necessarily bad, it is just first generation and was not made to hang a lot of weight on. As the sport grew, so did the weight of the speakers and other stuff hung on the towers. Lots of good choices for new towers. Several on here have replaced with Monster. I know Nickypoo replaced his and it looks great. What do you think, Nicky?
