    R20 Owners?

I would like to take a minute to introduce myself, I have been boating most of my life but recently took up wakeboarding/wakesurfing and got hooked. Since none of my close friends own a boat, I have been looking to buy a wakeboat. I started looking at Nautiques, but after getting quoted over 80k for a 20' v-drive (and yes thats with a decent discount), I decided to move in a different direction.

I live in Chicago, and have never seen a Tige in person. After seeing a few favorible reviews in boat magazines, I decided to take a closer look. What I saw inpressed me, especially with the PCM engines that are used now. Since this is a first boat and I'm balancing cars/home/girlfriend, I want to keep it cost effective; which led me to the R20. I can't say I have seen a better 20' option for wakeboarding and especially surfing.

So my question is, are there any R20/RZR owners on here? I realize the boat just came out, but I want to get owner's thoughts on it. I will be checking the Tige line out at the St. Loius boat show, but was hoping for some opinions before then. My biggest issue right now is the rear bench seat and how it is split, but maybe after sitting in the boat for a while I will realize it isn't an big deal. I am really hoping I like what I see in person, because pictures and reviews have me sold. I would also like to know how the R20/RZR handles choppy conditions, I might be taking the boat on Lake Michigan every so often, and most wake/ski boats cannot handle it. (normal days, nothing short of 40' is going to handle a small craft advisory day )

    Thanks
    Matt

Check out this thread http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14071 I think that there are at least 3 RZR owners that commented. You could PM them to see if they can answer your questions.

You could even ask them in the thread. Maybe but shouldn't be a big deal.

    Good luck on your search!

I have an RZR on order and have been in one of them in Calgary. I was a little concerned with the rear bench seat but the middle is wide enough for someone to sit on comfortably. I think its a great layout. Tigecanuck and TigeMatt on the on the forum are both from hyperactive and have had them out on the water quite a few times, they would help you out. I think robbiemac on the forum has been out a few times as well...

The seating in the rear of the R20/RZR is a lot bigger than it looks. There is in my opinion all most as much room inside the boat as the 22VE. The day we were out with the boat on demo, there were four adults in the boat. We waterskied and surfed, and never took the lexan walk-thru windscreen out or stepped foot on the bow of the boat. It wasn't untill we were back at the dock that I sat in the front bow to see just how big it was aswell. I don't think there's a better boat on the market in a 20 footer that can be waterskied behind, and then fill the ballast and surf. This boat puts off an awesome frickin surf wake. With the smaller foot-print in the water and 1600lb. of ballast, I don't know if there are many 22 foot boats that can equal the surf wake of the R20/RZR.
Go to Tige's Facebook site, go to Video's and watch the 2011 Tige Boat Video. There's a barefooting stunt in the video that FRICKEN AWESOME.
          Cheers. Rob

            RZR

I as well have a RZR on order due in late march. Before i pulled the trigger I compared diffrent makes for about 6 months and i can tell you there isnt a better 20ft boat. I lake tested the boat twice against a mastercraft and a nautique and the day i tested against the mastercraft there were 15-20mph winds on lake Travis and the water was very choppy. The Tige handled the waves/wakes much better than the mastercraft and made way less rattle noise from the tower. As far as the room from being in a rz2 compared to an rzr the only place you notice a diffrence is the walkway from windshield to the bow, the reason is there is only a 94inche beam (this is so that it will fit into a container to ship overseas). Once you get into the bow though its much roomier than a x-2, and is almost as big as a rz2. In my opinion there isnt a better 20ft boat available.

                R20 Base colors

Since the R20 does not have extensive color options I am wondering what colors you have to chose from for main hull and accent colors. Can anyone answer this?
