    Tige in salt water?

I've always mentally wanted to keep my Boat out of salt water cause I've heard nothing good comes out of putting your baby in salt water! But living in Seattle your limited to the lakes here. The Puget sound here is so beautiful but as soon as you dip your trailer in saltwater the cancer starts
Any input on this subject would be helpful
PS ..how much damage can it do to the engine after flushing it?

My first tige had a separate cooling system for the engine.. so sea water was fed into a tank that had a heat exchanger that also held engine coolant that the engine water pump used for the block. sea water was still used in the exhaust manifolds. It was also on a galvanized trailer ugly.. but wont rot away.

That guy on the front and top of the engine was the heat echanger my 21V with the same motor does not have it...

I never ran my last one in salt water but I am sure it would have been ok.

What I was told by the one marine mechanic that I absolutely trust as the word of God, Mr. Rick Scheriff, is that you need to flush your systems as soon as you pull it out. Within 10 minutes, salt starts drying and that is when the corrosion starts. The longer you wait, the worse it gets. Obviously you can limit the effects but, you can never eliminate them completely.

It will always be in the back of your mind.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
