You don't really order off Froogle. It is just a search engine for prices. Try this link.

I can't tell you exactly since I don't have a v-drive, but if you follow where the water enters your boat, then follow the tube up to the engine, you should see where your sea water pump is, then in that is where the impeller is.

Well, your impeller will be good, but what about running your engine for 15 minutes without any water? Doesn't sound very wise to me to have a $30 part that is good, but to overheat and blow a $5000 engine???? I'd be wary of using something like this.
I am the Product Manager for Globe Marine Products Division. Your logic is backwards. The rationale and the execution of this principle is as follows, and is a two part paradigm
1- by the time you run dry x minutes, you ought to have warning from either an audible or your guage or both. At which point you will shut off the engine. You ought not be able to go the full 15 minutes, with out some other warning being sounded long before that. THe Globe advaantage: YOu wount be pulling impeller pieces out of your engine, and when you rectify the situation, your impeller will continue functioning once flow is restored.
2- the 15 minute measure is a continuous measure, in practice this allows an almost infinite number of narrow dry running time slices without impeller destruction. This to include clogged intake, dry start and drop, loss of prime due to other exogenous factors.
The Run-Dry (r) impeller is proven 2-3 x more durable than the major impeller manufacturers, 2-3 x more abrasion resistant, and with similar or better flow degredation after set performance.
We suggest changing the impeller every year under heavy use or continual use in difficult water conditions.
Under normal usage one can comfortably change every 2 seasons.
Please fell free to contact me with any other issues and concerns.

Having shredded a few impellers myself, I'm all for having a tougher one. Also, have you guys worked with the manufacturers on warranty? So, if I replace my impeller with one of yours, does that invalidate my extended warranty from Mercruiser?Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

I can't comment about the whys and wherefores of the impeller replacement procedure for your boat, and we do not work directly with the manufacturers.
I don't know what the length of your extended warranty is, but once the warranties are up, you can do as you wish.
If you are very concerned in this area, propriety demands that I tell you to use whatever product does not invalidate your warranty, as much as i would want to tell you to use ours. If the impeller has no impact on warranty, then please, by all means, USE GLOBE!
Best

Hey guys, I'm on season #2 of my Globe and everything is still running cool! I have a replacement kit I keep in the front storage (just in case), but wanted to see how long the Globe will last. I'll pull it out at the end of this season (October) and post pictures.Nostalgia isn't what it used to be
