Houseboat Trip AND bringing your Tige?

We own a 60' Houseboat and park the boat on the lee side of the houseboat in a cove. We always tow with a rope that is at least 15' long. Better if it's 20' Add a clip to the end so it's seasy to get it on and off.
If we end up in an unusually rough area, we will toss an anchor for the nose of the tige with a section of bungee rope, then tug the tail back to the houseboat to get off. We let the Tige spring back out away fromt he houseboat maybe 10' for safety.
Originally posted by murphini View PostFor all of you who do houseboating vacations @ Powell or Mead and bring along your Tige, how do the logistics work?
Specifically:
1. Can the houseboat tow the Tige, or do both boats need drivers to get where you are going?
2. How do you "park" the Tige overnight in a cove? I can't see beaching a vDrive, so do you tie/moor the Tige up to the houseboat or anchor the Tige separately away from the houseboat?
3. Has anyone done this (Houseboat + Tige) either at TableRock or Lake of the Ozarks?
4. Love to hear anyones "day in the life logistics" of Houseboating WHILE bringing along a wakeboard boat.
We did houseboat vacations in the late 80's before we had kids or a boat and it was a blast. Now we'd like to do the Houseboat thing with another family/teenagers AND bring our 24ve along. So this monkey walks into a bar...

When i slow the houseboat, I usually holler back at the wife to watch the skiboat so the bow doesnt run up on the swim deck.

I'm not knocking the pvc pipe method, I'm trying to understand it. I don't think it would hold your boat back before bending and/or breaking. Isn't it hard to transport while driving to the lake?So this monkey walks into a bar...
