New (to me) 2007 RZ2 owner needs advice

Just picked up my 2007 RZ2 and am needing some adice as to where to order a few things. All the paperwork is like a hard piece of cardboard so need the owners manuals and what ever the other paperwork that was in there.
No cover so I need a Black cover.
The metal tube that went around the bahimi (sp I know) top was kinked and I broke it while trying to streighten it out. so, need a new one.
Then what is the best way to maintain the batteries during winter?

The only thing i can comment on is the batteries, I was told to unhook all batteries and store somewhere indoors or out of freezing weather. I Keep my boat in my heated barn so i dont ever remove the battereies from the boat because they have a constant temp, but i do mark all cables so i know exactly where to put them when i hook everything back up. Others may have different strategies but that is mine.

For a cover, a couple of other options:

You could contact a local marine upholstery shop to fabricate a custom cover. They could also probably fabricate a replacement bimini hoop tube.

You could contact a cover manufacturer that has patterns for various boats. I have heard good things about Evolution Boat Covers.

Only $275. I think those are probably a gray color, not black. But tough to beat the price.


Finally, regarding the batteries, if your boat is stored somewhere that freezing is not a concern and you have a power outlet available, I would suggest getting an on-board smart battery charger with one bank per battery. This will charge them fully, then reduce to a maintenance charge, helping to extend their life.

Congrats on the RZ2

A custom TIGE cover is good, but there is a local guy in Lee's Summit called the Master Stitcher/Tim who did my previous boat cover several years ago. I seem to remember you used to live around KC. Tim/Master Stitcher has a mobile trailer that he goes out and custom makes boat and lift covers. His phone number is (816) 721-8680. I may have him reinforce my 2007 TIGE cover for my 24ve.

If you don't have one, also consider a FAE. Search the site to learn about them.
