Some potential good news for Lake Mead water level: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011...ks-wet-winter/
Basically, if the Colorado River basin snow accumulation continues at its current rate, they would likely release enough water from Powell this summer to raise Mead by over 20 feet. While that is only a small amount of the 140 feet we are currently down, it would (hopefully) be a start!

Absolutely great news. The solid week of rain we had in December helped bring the lake up a few feet.
It is amazing to consider a foot of elevation change given the surface area of the lago and the funnel that it sits in...
it was 77 here today...I almost dropped the boat off of the jack stands that I put it on for the winter...
