    Atl Snow Storm fun

"sledding" and belly sliding on a different kind of water. Micro hill in neighbor's front yard. small hill but they had lots of fun w makeshift "sleds" since the store sold 600 and was out. Jake is the bigger kid w blue hat. Perhaps the Hyperlite Landlock w no fin is next?!?!?! Lots of fun!!

We tried a kneeboard this year on our sledding hill. Worthless. I expected it to do really well but apparently its orange-peel hull finish has too much friction with the snow.

I have a 7' long wooden tobaggon that was my dad's when he was a kid and my daughter and I love taking out all of the other kids at the sledding hill with its superior speed and distance over the new plastic junk that kids have today. We can fit 3 adults or 1 adult and 3-4 kids on it and then it goes really fast!

Yes, we do what we call a "train" where we link up every sledding device we have and send 5-12 people down the hill at once. We build a big jump at the bottom and when the train goes off the jump it can get pretty wild. This shot shows only the last seven people in this train. Note that the last rider (the helmeted one, who happens to be my son) has already spun 180 degrees and that's BEFORE he even hit the jump.

Ahh, the good ol' days of sledding. I do miss that and the snow here in Houston. I think a ski trip may be in order soon.
