I have sold over 50 cables this year. This has been the year for steering cables. You need part number SSC15421 teleflex. I sell those for 195.00 and that includes the freight to your front door. Teleflex just had a price increase on those this month. They said they sold 3 times the expected amount this year.

The old part number that is installed in the boat factory is ssc13421 the 154 cable is an extreme cable and all the internal parts are coated with Teflon to increase the life of the cable. Not to mention from personal experience I can tell you it is also a much smoother operating cable.

It would be an SSC15417 or 16 for your boat. Those generally run right around 145.00 now that we are in a new year pricing is going to change all the way around though.

Skidim.com is always a good source for towboat specific parts.

Amazon.com that is where I got mine. The part number was near the rack. If you have a ssc13xxx get the ssc15xxx. One pinky steering when done.

I'm changing out the steering cable on my '08 rz4 soon too, but these posts seem to reference older part numbers. Does anyone know a new replacement part number I can find online? Thank you!
