    Custom Surf Sac Group Buy

    Custom Surf Sac Group Buy

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those that might be interested, I want to try and get a group buy going for the new Gen-2 custom surf sac. Reason being, I can get a better rate for a bulk order, v's buying them individually for each customer order. As usual, I'm willing to pass that savings on.

With the Gen-2 Custom Surf, we have tweaked the size just a little, but the biggest improvement is the relocation of the two ports on the top. They have been moved to improve venting and reduce the self draining. Due to the changes, the sac went from a universal sac that could be used on either side, To a dedicated port and starboard side sacs. This, as expected, raised the cost.

These sacs are and Enzo style "L" shaped sac and were designed for the 22 ft V-drive Tige boats, but will fit great in the Z1 and the older 21ft and 23ft V-drives. The port sac should be 1000#+ and the starboard will probably be a little under 1000#.

The new prices are as fallows:
Single port sac order = $525.00
Bulk port sac order = $495.00
Single starboard sac order = $485.00
Bulk starboard sac order = $465.00

Fittings and fright not included. These will all be gray, but if anyone wants a different color, there will be a $15 per sac up-charge for them to swap out the material.

I need to order a quantity of 5 each in order to get the price above. If we can get 4 of each confirmed, I will place the order. Average lead time is 4 weeks for these to be built

PM or email (actually better) me if you have any question

    Thanks,
    Mike

Have you determined a fit for the 08 RZ2? Based on the location of the battery boxes I am using two manual Fly High plus the factory 250lb / per side rear tanks - 400 lb v-drive in the locker and a 370lb tube sac under the seats. The v-drive sac is a little akward given I have to stand the sac vertically.

I am going to have our engineers make a CAD drawing of custom sac, but thought I would check and see if you ran across a solution.

The sac would fit and probably fill to at least 75%, but it will sit really awkward on the battery box and I do not know what the weight of the water would do to the box. The box is not a structural component, it just covers the batteries. I have 3 workable options depending on ones wallet and how far they are willing to go in modifying the boat.

Option 1: Lay a W707 Seat Bottom sac in the floor of the storage locker in front of the battery box and let it stretch out under the seat. This will give you about 600# in addition to the factory 250# hard tank. Cheap and easy. It could be plumbed in to fill off the hard tank's vent, but would need its own drain pump.

Option 2: option 1, plus construct a shelf at the same height as the battery box that would extent from the battery box to the back of the seat. On top of the shelf would go a 400# v-drive sac. It will fill to about 300#, so that now an additional 900# on top of the factory 250#. For this setup, i would recommend doing a separate fill/drain system for these 2 new sacs. You could use a single reversible pump or a pair of aerator pumps.

For a single reversible, fill and empty at the lower W707 sac. As it fill and begins to overflow, it will fill the upper V-drive sac. Once its full, it purges out the vent thru-hull. With the pump in reverse to drain, the upper sac will just drain into the lower sac as the water leaves the lower sac.

For dedicated fill and drain aerator pumps, fill the upper sac and water flows down to the lower sac and drain the lower sac and gravity drains the upper sac.

Option 3: Yank out the factory hard tank, move the batteries back against the transom where the are in a Tige without the factory ballast, then rebuild the back wall of the locker and go with the custom.

Hope this answers you questions. Let me know if I can help further.

Ok, if you guys are in, then I will calculate the shipping and prepare the invoices. With you 3 and the on other Tige owner down under that's also in, I will move forward and get these ordered. I should have them in hand by mid Jan or so, and then get them shipped out to you guys.

EMGE, shoot me an email with your contact and shipping info, thanks.
