I need a new winch and I think I will get the fulton too. Sharp boat I bet it would look sweet without the decals!

How did you adapt the fulton to make it fit?

I bought the adapter plate and jack from smoothwater sports and had some engineers at work help out due to my orignal plate design (e.g. welded and boxed on three sides) The mount works fine - my problem was that I could not get a boxed in wrench in the only open side - see attached pics. I had the enginners weld some welding sticks to the bolts and lots of patience - other than that it worked just fine.

          Great looking boat.

I just upgraded to the Fulton jack (w;/ adapter too). That Fulton winch looks nice. I did not quite follow your explanation of mounting the winch. Can you perhaps provide more details?

Mounting the winch entails three bolts that are standard with this winch - one in front that is threaded and two in the rear that have a bolt, nut, and lock washer. On my trailer there are were only two pre-mounted holes (one front and one rear) so I only used the two. Three seems a bit overkill, but I did use a beefed up bolt, washers, lock-tite, etc. The two rear bolts have a larger center slot to install and slide the two standard install bolts - I used two largers washers in the center and bolted it on. Hope that helps!

Note the threaded bolt is closest to the nose of your bolt.

Pretty easy install - 30-45 minutes!
