    How much for boat insurance

Was just curious to know what people are paying for the insurance on thier boats and what companys are being used. At this time i have a 2008 valued at $60000. I use Farmers insurance and have My home, 3 vehicles, and my boat on the list. I pay around $85.00 a month for coverage. On my other vehicles i have never had claims or tickets that would increase my premium. anyways just curious. thankx

I have State Farm and pay roughly $32/month for a $50k valued boat. Granted I have all my cars, home, life, and few claims with them over the last 10 years. I also have $250 deductibles on the boat.

Progressive Insurance....$450 year with agreed replacement value and 1mm in liability coverage. I've had good rates with BoatUS too, but they would not cover me to pull tournaments. I've never heard anything bad about SkiSafe either, but they will be a little higher.

I pay $310 a year through BoatUS, including trailer breakdown and towing. Haven't had to use it yet, but I like all the stories I read about their great service.

I'm paying exactly that on my 2008 RZ4 at the same price value with Boat US. I also went with high medical insurance.

Does anybody's insurance allow them to reduce the coverage on your boat while it is in storage. i.e. over the winter months? Mine does not and it pisses me off!
I'm on a boat man. I got my flippy floppies....

I remembered using SkiSafe on my Nautique back inthe 80's.
Currently with Boat US at $324/yr. SkiSafe quoted $221/yr on a 2000 21i.
The reason i remembered them is they account for winter lay up period and insure accordingly. I may go with them. $17000 for boat and $1500 for trailer.

Boat U.S. was the best price I could find with the best coverage. They also treated me right when I had a claim.

Funny this thread should come up now...right after my premium went up. I have been happy with progressive so far. Had a low $400 premium and had my medical coverages set real high just in case. Got a speeding ticket (on land) in July and guess what. Just went to renew my coverage and they raised me to over $600!. I am currently paying it but am working on getting the speeding ticket expunged and will be shopping around after that.

Also it is very frustrating that we do not get credit for storage time.
