    SANGER

How do you guys feel about Sanger V drive boats? A 2004 V230 to be exact.

I like them alot! They are a well built boats that throw a great wake with some weight in them. Never surfed behind one so I have no input there.

We looked at Sanger's when we bought our last boat in 03. If I remember they still used wood for stringers and other places like seat bases, etc. To me, wood and water just don't mix well for the long term. The less wood, the better for me anyway. Since it's an 04, any issues with the wood should be visible, especially if it's spent much time stored outside.

The wood stringers will more than likely never be an issue. The plywood in the seat bases never struck me as a good thing. Sanger knows how to build boats. They have been doing it a long time. I really don't have any experience with them so I can't comment on performance. The best thing to do is take it out for a drive and a ride.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I only hear good things about Sanger in general.

This is one sweet Sanger...might be more speakers than you are looking for, but...

Ask dennis, (BigKahuna) if you interested in wakesurfing. I believe its the 215 that puts out a great wake, but the 230, is a bit tougher. I could be wrong. I know a Friend, Frank Wolter has a V230, and it has a definite double lip in the wake. The V237 throws a mean surf wake, on both sides. The 230 and the 215 definitely have a lower freeboard, I never like that, especially when weighting for surfing, feels unsafe. Anyway, any boat you love to ride in is a good one.

yep we sold them, closed dealer last year

the 237 is the biggest boat, we had the first one at our place, they actually put an 09 date on it!!! they had to redo the hull numbers!!!
it ws the one with ostrich stamped cushions

go stand in one compared to any other boat, its low!!

                        their 210 is scary low

Good luck and have a great time boating. There will plenty of great family outings on any boat.
