    Majestic, hope your daughters doing well. My daughter too was diagnosed with Wilms' tumor when she was three months old and had her left kidney removed. She was either a stage II or III, since it metastized to her lungs which required chemo plus radiation. It seems like just yesterday we were trying to clean her mainline and keep her hands away from grabbing at it....trying to keep it dry at bathtime...doing the required flushes....etc.

    That was 12+ years ago and now at 13 is doing very well, in fact she is probably the least sick in terms of colds etc. out of our whole family! She still has a good size scar on her left side that runs from the front to just past her side that is slightly raised and pale white, but it has never bothered her and to my hapiness and dismay.....still will wear nothing but bikinis.

    I can tell you every doctors appointment from here on out you will be anxious, but like everything else time heals and obviously for anyone with a cancer passing time is a good thing. To this day I am still anxious around follow up appointments, blood work, etc., but the worry gets a little less every year.

    Keep the faith...feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

      rostap,

      I was up feeding Emilee when I saw your reply and couldn't go back to sleep. I am so glad your Daughter is doing well! I really believe we will be another success story in a few years.

      I think it is great how you can relate to all the line flushings, keeping everything dry for baths and so on, it has certainly been a work in progress. We are off today for Chemo treatment #5 (halfway done after next week) so far we have been blessed with minor constipation only, I can see her hair starting to thin and fall out but she didn't have much anyway.

      I sure appreciate your reply and all the others that have been so... supportive. I will send you a PM so not to bore everyone with all the finer details.

      embo, kko and others that have been following We sure appreciate all the prayers and support!

          I have been getting lots of PM's lately asking how things are going so I thought I would update everyone;

          We have reached week 10 of 22 in Emilee's chemo treatment which is kind of a milestone for us because she no longer will have to have chemo on a weekly basis. She now hopefully only has 3 treatments left that will be spread out over the next 12 weeks. If all tests go well after week 22 she can have her central line removed 3 weeks later.
          I cannot thank all the TO members that have been so supportive thru all of this. And also thanks to Childrens Hospital in Seattle for taking such great care of our little girl as well as covering all the bills outside of insurance.

          This was from today,

                That is all great news!!! Fantastic!! Please don't feel you are bothering us with the details. I would really like it if you would keep us all up to date on the details. It gives us all more of an appreciation for all your family is going through along with your daughter. We will never know exactly but maybe it gives us something more to focus on when asking for God's help with your family. Beautiful pictures, please keep them coming as well when you get a chance. We can only hope your story follows the course rostap's has to date. Every time I see your posts I try to imagine what you family is going through and wish you all the best.
