I've got a buddy up there that just did the drive from wichita to spokane, the long way thru I'll double check and see which roads worked best to get up there because I know a bunch of them are crap. I'll see if he can pull down a good Lake report/snow report too... I know of his 05 22v and a 24v that are already on base so you should have plenty of boat people to go out! Biggest problem... which boat to take today...

Wow, Spokane is becoming Tige Central! Sounds good to me! Maybe we'll get a second dealer....

I had a new problem… I found my wheels were rubbing the wheel wells on the inside. It’s like they were being polished. As it turns out the wheel wells were just sagging from age (2004 prestige). one more thing to put on my check list....

I'm planning to drive via LA, then up 5 through CA and start the cut over to the east near Shasta, through Bend and across to eastern Washington. I'll be keeping the boat in my garage in my house in Spokane Valley. It's a 30 min drive to Coeur D' Alene and the other nice lakes in ID.

I presume there's someone or something you want to visit in LA? Because that's definitely the long way around!

I predict you won't spend much time on Cd'A itself. The lake is far too choppy most of the time due to wind and the number of huge yacht-sized craft, speedboats, floatplanes, and other crazies roaring about. Sometimes you can hide away in a bay somewhere, but all the other towboats know that trick too and it can be hard to find one all to yourself. We took our boat on Cd'A one time and have never gone back. Lake Pend O'Reille (largest lake in ID) is even worse; it's so large it has its own weather effects.

Check out Liberty Lake WA (much closer to your house), Newman Lake WA (also close), Hayden Lake ID (slightly north of Cd'A), our own Twin Lakes ID, Spirit Lake ID, etc.

If you're willing to drive north of Spokane, there's a whole host of lakes with Loon, Diamond, and Deer Lake looming large. Diamond and Deer are spectacular; we actively searched for property there (even made an aggressive offer on a Diamond Lake spot).

There are 50 lakes within 50 miles of Spokane. You'll never run out of choices. Most people find a couple they prefer and keep returning. Before we had our lake place our two favorites were Diamond Lake WA and Spirit Lake ID. Spirit is just over a mountain ridge from our Twin Lakes place and we often ride our ATV's over the mountains just to visit, have lunch or ice cream, etc.

            Welcome to Paradise!

Yeah, I'm avoiding the snow through CO, WY, and MT. It's 500 miles extra, and my brother lives in LA.

Avoiding that "road rash" on my brand new boat was the reason I had it put on a flatbed trailer. By the time I added up fuel, lodging, food, etc. it wasn't all that much more money and it was FAR better for the boat and trailer.
