I think you will end up like the 22v the best but I would recommend you talk to this Tigeowners poster WABoating

He just bought a 24Ve, is an engineer (super detailed) and I believe he researched the heck out of all kinds of boats... He should be able to give you much more insight into the pros and cons.

      IMO, yes.
Perhaps you should take notes from chpthril. Notice how there was absolutely zero bash in his reply.

Stick to your brand's merits and you will get way more respect from potential buyers...

If you do it here where you have no horse in the race, how do you act when your money is on the line?

Like i said i dont not care what he buys i am only sharing my opinion and i do not like centurions.

This is a form to share opinions. I dont like honda so if you say im looking at honda i will share my opinion of them. End of story. you are trying to make this about sales its not, I could care less if he purchases the BU Tige or Centurion I just clearly stated my opinion of the boats didn't even say buy a tige or a malibu.

So what is this Centurion hull problem that you speak of? Certain models or age of boat?

PS. You are totally entitled to your opinion. The problem is when being a dealer (or affiliated with a brand), I think you should know better and be held to a higher standard....

Every boat manufacturer has it's issues at times...all of them.

Either way, I'm sure that any of the above choices would make a great family boat.
So lets all jump over to the centurion forum and see all the kind words they have to say about Tige......We all know how they treated a Tige owner who goes out of his way to grow and promote the sport of surfing for EVERYONE, just because he gave an honest opinion on the Centurion surf wake.

I think Terminator's opinion is perfectly reasonably stated. He could be more specific, sure, but he has been in more boats than most of us combined.

And I do think it is reasonable to understand the source as a potential reason for bias.

But I bet the OP has already posted a similar thread on the centurion owners website and he will have to judge for himself.

As for me, I think the 22ve is the best buy of the 3 options given. It is going to give a great surf and wakeboarding wake, and seems to be priced fairly. Not a smoking deal IMHO, but reasonable for sure.
                  Be excellent to one another.

I would go into some details but then it would end up with me "bashing". Plus thats not what this thread is for anyways.

                      @ chpthril
The TS was over there asking about boats as well. You may be surprised to know that no-one bashed any boats and he was talked out of an Avy purchase due to his skiing needs. "I would think maybe a centurion Falcon, Sanger V215, Tige 22v, Etc..." was offered up instead.

I'm really not trying to start an issue here, I was originally looking for information on an issue that I'd never heard of before (Centurion Hulls) but so far have gotten nothing. 91Terminator is welcome to PM me what he knows about this issue and I'll leave it at that.

                        pdh,

I used to own an 06 22V and currently own 05 Avalanche. There are both great boats.
Not sure what Terminators agenda is but this is the second time I have seen him say Centurions are junk with absolutely nothing to back up his claims.
Test drive them all and buy what works best for you.

Ok here we go. We service all the centurions in our area because the dealer is no more and the owner of it is good friends with us so all his customers he brings to us.

Everyone that comes in lists to one side. The factory fix is to tweak the plate on the back.

We had one so bad that the tweak didn't fix the problem so the straight from the factory was to sand the gel on the other side of the boat. in a situation such as this i would hope that Tige Malibu MC CC Axis Moomba Supra would just take the boat back.

Most customers have lead weight in the to stop the listing. Thats the hull problem.

The rest of the things i dont like have nothing to do with a manufacturing level. I do not like how they ride. They are rough riding dont handle good at all or even comparable, horrible on gas, I dont like Merc Cruiser (nothing wrong there) this is all my personal preference. I am entitled to it. Whether you like it or not. I am not trying to offend any centurion owners on here. I am sorry if i did. Not a fan never will be cant convince me i see to many of them with to many problems.

You cant work on the to save your life with out taking the ballast tanks out. We have had the factory rep here a few years in a row trying to sign us up as the dealer.

And if you go drive them I hands down promise you will end up in a Tige nothing nothing out performs a Tige.

So once again sorry would you like me to go back and delete all my posts? i will just let me know.

The only issue with the AVY is the port side washes out a bit when wakeboarding. Just need to add 60 lbs or so extra to the port side and that cleans it up. For the record my Avy does not list even with the extra weight on that side.
Having owned both a 22V and an AVY for two seasons each I can honestly say they are very similar and one is no better than the other. That is JMHO.

Thanks for the info, first I've heard or seen of this list issue.

I do agree that the factory rear tanks can make it hard to work on the merc engine (but I don't really blame merc), most peeps pull the tanks and add customs sacs anyways.

PS. New Centurions have PCM engines now.
