Replacement F2 Fulton Jack

Decided to change out my original trailer jack with the new F2 Fulton 1600 lb jack. My old one was not looking good when fully extended. I use the jack often at the lowest retracted position to get the boat out of the garage and also at the fullest extended position at times for boat maintenance.

I ordered the F2 jack from Smooth Water Sports because they offered an "adaptor plate" to make the upgrade conversion look the best rather than using U bolts around the frame.

1. Remove old jack
2. Cut off excess center bolt
3. Install new adaptor plate
4. If needed, adjust F2 jack "adjustable mounting height"
5. Bolt on adaptor plate to trailer
6. Bolt on jack to plate

I bought my F2 before Fulton got off their butts and made an adapter plate. I probably should have just stuck with the original style that actually fits. Now I have funky holes in my trailer for the U brackets. I am not sure even now if I can retrofit the adapter plate since one of the arms on the U bolt goes through the previous adapter plate. Some guys on the Mastercraft owners website actually machined their own adapter plates...wish I had that sort of knowledge, tools and skill.

I love how you painted that adapter plate, but it seems pretty superfluous since the jack is silver anyway. I am not sure it added anything to the install.

You can buy the adaptor plate separate or as a packaged deal. If purchased as a package, the plate is included in the box with the jack. It is cheaper to buy as a bundle deal. This dealer replaces the U bolt hardware and swaps out with the adaptor plate and bolts. They machined the plate perfectly. I do NOT belive the adaptor plate is associated with FULTON.

So is cranking the Fulton and moving the boat around while on the jack enough of an advantage to swap out the exisiting stock jack? Or is this just in case your stock is failing?

I thought you said the adapter plate came with your jack?

The guy whose pics you refer is an MC owner and posted that for the guys on TMCowners a while back. But like I said, not something the ordinary joe can throw together.

This is a Fulton F2 Twin Track jack, with a custom adapter plate. The adapter plate allows mounting the new jack to older trailers, that currently have Fulton x10 style jacks. The x10 style jack has a single pivot bolt in the center, and the mount is welded to the trailer frame. The custom adapter plate that is included with this F2 jack will bolt to the original weldmount, and the F2 jack will bolt directly to the adapter.

We upgraded ours beginning of the season, turns out the jack we had was only rated for 500 lbs.
