Unless your original jack is looking unreliable, you may want to keep your money until the time is right to spend $149. The F2 Fulton is a better quality jack than my original. I have not tried moving the boat around to see if it rolls any easier since the boat is now winterized. It does crank up nicely and I will have the peace of mind having a better jack. It does have a nice look to it!

I actually think it is a little harder to move it around. It is kind of like having a tandem axle trailer. One of the wheels has to slide while the other one turns when you try to turn it. Because the surface area in contact with the concrete is more, it is harder to turn. If I were placing the boat in the dirt, then the F2 is definitely the one to get.
      Be excellent to one another.

That is what I was wondering about, would it be easier to swing the tongue around. so do you think it was worth it?
Is it more stable than your original Jack? Mine seems pretty wobbly when I try to move it around. In fact it seems so limber I do not try and move it around.

Thanks Nick for adding the "How To" thread and info on the F2 Jack update/conversion.

To try and clear up any confusion I'll try to answer some questions and offer my opinion as well. As mentioned, Fulton does not make an adapter plate for installing the F2 Jack onto the older Fulton weldmounts. I saw the need for my own customers and so we designed and milled out an adapter plate to match up to the F2 mount. It is designed to specifically fit the Fulton X10 weldmount, that was very popular with trailer manufacturers for years, for many different boat brands.

The adapter plate is steel, and we only prime it prior to shipping, so we advise owners to finish paint it prior to installing.

I do sell the plate and fasteners without the F2 Jack, if you have the Jack already.

          Now here's my opinion :
I am a believer in the F2 Twin Track jack (Not the wide track). My biggest complaint with the older X10 Fulton was even with the updated larger diameter wheel, the jack always wanted to bend sideways instead of pivoting to allow the wheel to roll when pushing the trailer around. All the 2010-up Boatmate trailers are built with the F2 as standard equipment. I found that even with a heavy boat the jack always pivoted instantly when you started to push on the boat/trailer, which allows the wheels to roll properly. Pavement, concrete makes no difference and it works much better on gravel than the older X10. While it still works best to lower the tongue down to the bottom when trying to move a tandem axle trailer around, I believe the F2 Twin Track jack is a much better design than the X10 unit.

Thanks to those of you have purchased it from us, and I hope it meets your expectations. If anyone has questions I can answer, feel free to ask directly via email.

          Hope that helps -
          Peter

I sent them a message, via the 'contact us' link on their website because it was after hours. They did not call me back.

Will try a direct phone call during normal business hours.

I sent a payment on December 13 for the adapter plate. Still haven't heard back. Not even an acknowledgement of payment, other than from paypal, letting me know it was sent. I am in no rush...so tell me it will be another month and I would be fine with it. But some communication would be nice. Sent an Email to the address above before Christmas, still not a response. Hope to hear from someone soon. Hopefully the guys are just on a well deserved long carribean vacation.

Thinking about ordering that adapter. Did you ever receive yours?

I called them and ordered one, I believe that it was in Jan. They had to make them but I got it in about 2 weeks. May have been shorter.

Look up a guy named Cantrepeat on TMCowners.com. He does an awesome job.

I started this thread on TMC owners... http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...etrofit+fulton

See post number 135...can'trepeat made 20 of them and posted them in the MC marketplace.

I got mine from Peter at Smoothwatersports....2 months after I paid for it. His ebay approval is at 75%. I suspect he makes them in bunches and just didn't see my 1 plate as a priority. Your experience likely won't be as bad as mine, but I wouldn't buy another from him.
