It came down to the 24V or the 23 LSV. Basically very similar
Malibu in my opinion had better gelcoat color and pattern options;
TIGE had the following for me
Known item, would be my 2nd TIGE
Excellent dealer
Better bow seating, appears larger and definately deeper seats (for safety)
Price
Took my daughter, her friends to boat shows to sit in the various boats and they liked the bow seating the best in the 24V
Wifes only requirement was a long bimini so she could sit in the back and still be in the shade that was easy to set up.
I personnally liked the ride in the 24V slightly better but then I went out with a dealer I knew and had a more pleasant demo than with malibu.
I say go with an 05 or 06 24V. You could probably get a better deal on the 05 if the dealer has some in stock as most will be ordering 06's.
But this is your choice, shop , demo and figure out what is important to you. I cannot afford to buy a new boat every few years. In 02 I bought a 20V TIGE thinking it would be with me for years. In 05 I sold it and bought the 24V as size does matter on Lake Havasu. I liked the 22V slightly better but I did not want to get 2 footitis in another few years
I bought my '05 first weekend in August last year, and it had been on the lot a week when I bought it, so if this year is like last you should see them in the next couple weeks
Dealer! My friend with an X-10 bought it out of state and takes it somewhere else for service, because of the local MC dealer. Tige' Watersports of Corona will take care of your needs and they put back into the Tige' family with their annual Owners Regatta. It's coming up in about a month so you better buy now! Give them a visit if you haven't done so already.
Adlee boat covers will make an extension on your bimini. They are in Corona. The one I saw had zipper to connect the front and rear canvas together. They can make anything you need.
The bimini is in 2 sections. We board with only the front section open. the rear section still straps to the tower. When its tubing or chilln time we open the rear section. The two sectons zip together
The Malibu Dealer was not dealing The boats come equiped diferrently but the LSV was over $60,000 OTD.
Picture is at Cattail Cove at Havasu. Its about 15-20 miles south of the London Bridge. Less crazies down there. Most people want to launch by the channel. This ramp ussually fills up last and they have a good boat parking lot that my wife can handle.
Adlees does good work also. I tallked to them when I had my 20V about a new Bimini. The place in Henderson I believe is Harolds Custom Canvas. His section makes the front bimini look cheap. He uses stainless fittings for everthing instead of the plastic. Its the little things that show quality. He even put a zippered section in the original bimini so I could put a rope on the tower when both bimini's are opened
