Ok... let me come up with approximate dimensions to see if it's in my budget. If it is, then I'll remove the enclosure that houses the factory ballast to confirm the fitting locations and to get final, accurate dimensions.

    I'll email you by Monday.

    Thanks,

    Dave

      Custm Plug'n-Play Surf Sac Update!

For those that have inquired and all others that are interested:

The final touches to the new custom surf sacs for the 2010 22Ve/RZ2 Tige boats are DONE

I have submitted the final design to Fly High. I do not have a firm price yet, as I want to here back from Fly High on the changes, just to make sure. I Expect to place the initial order next week.

For those that are ready to place an order, you can contact Ragboy (Robert Garcia) through wake9 or me (Mikes Liquid Audio aka Chpthril) @ info(AT)mikesliquidaudio(DOT)com and we will get back to you with an estimate/invoice.

We will need: Name, email, shipping address, your order (port, starboard, 1 of each), phone #.

For this initial order, there will be the usual 4 weeks+ lead time, before I have the sacs. From there on, I will be ordering the sacs in bulk (to keep the price down) and keeping them in stock. For this reason, I will only be ordering them in gray. If anyone wants a different color, they can expect the normal lead time, and a small up-charge for a single order w/color change.

For those with Z1's, I feel these sacs will also work.

For those with 24Ve/RZ4 Tige boats, I have the sacs drawn up and hope to have a quote from Fly High on them soon as well.

If anyone has a question, post up or email me!

        Ok, verdict is in!

The new custom Plug'n-Play for the 22Ve/Rz2 will be $525.00 and that includes 4 new W736 threaded sac valve fittings. First batch is ordered

I also have a custom cube that will be plug'n-play. It fills to about 600# and will be $275.00 and that also includes the W736 fittings. The custom Cube will fit the 22 and 24 ft tiges, as well as the Z1 and maybe even the new R20 and RZR, but I need to confirm those dimensions.

Well, not really. This is an entirly new sac made just for the 2010 and up Tiges with the Surf/Pro ballast. We now have a port and starboard side sac, where as my original custom was a universal. This new sac has 4 port, instead of 3, plus it includes 4 W736 because the ones will be glued into the factory sac coming out.

I thought the RZ2 Surf sac had 3 fittings (Fill, Drain, Vent).
So why does the new one have 4?

Also, can the long sac be folded and blocked from expanding so it doesn't completely fill the ski locker or will that be a weak point that will cause problems?

2 ports on the bottom that drain back into the in-floor tank. 2 ports on the top = 1 is a fill and 1 is the vent.

You could fold the leg of the sac up under the main section if you wanted to fill the rear sacs some for boarding. For those that dont want to lose the under-seat storage, then the custom cube would be the way to go.

Any idea whether the custom cube will fit tucked in behind the velcro screen when empty like the stock 350# sac does?

By the way, thanks for doing all this -- great stuff.

Good possibility, but I cant say for sure as I havent tested that aspect of it. The major difference between my custom cube and the Tige factory sac is that there is a wedge shape and mine is more square.

                          Chap,

That's not bad. NOW, don't forget I'll have 3 batteries in both side wells....can you accommodate us with slight modification?

I still wanna get some pics and some rough dimensions, but i'm thinking the best setup would be something like the W714 MC X2 sac on top of the batteries (false floor on top of the batteries) cascading down to the W705 seat bottom sac.

No doubt we will come up with a working solution.

your RZ4 is bigger than my boat, does your boat have a compartment like this? If you rotated the batteries 90 degrees you might be able to fit 3 on each side in there.

2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.
