    Winterizing Fat Sacs

What do you guys do for the fat sacs?
    Do you -
    1. just get sacs as empty as possible?
    2. rinse out with water?
    3. add a disinfecting/antimicrobial soap with hot water to clean inside of sac?
    4. just leave them in the boat and not worry about it?

    What are your thoughts?

I would pull them out and hang them to dry/air out and then roll the up and put them away. Reason being, the carpet will hold moisture and condensation and the carpet will stink and mildew over the winter.

As far as winterising the system, just make sure the water is out of the pumps and lines.

I pull them out of the boat, remove all of the plugs and drain and then let them sit out in the sun for the whole day to evaporate the water out of them which doesn't take long here in the land of 20% humidity....

I take the easy way and have the dealer do it as part of annual maintenance/winterize in whch they drain and run antifreeze into factory ballast amongst other items. one manual fatsac is drained and stored in garage.

I just drain them out as much as I can and let those *^*)#$ zebra mussels still in my fat sac from the Tige Reunion at Lake Meade die a slow, cold and painful death!
