Adults and kids use it all the time. In fact, one of the features that lead us to buy this over a 22V leftover. Wish Tige would SeaDeck the walk-through like they now do to the Swim Platform. Even snap in carpet would be a nice touch; safer too.
I don't think you want seadeck on that many more surfaces. My buddy has it on the entire floor of his Epic and had carpet custom made to go over the top because with just a little bit of water it's slippery as hell.
For those who have everyone walking all over the vinyl...is your vinyl any worse off because of it?
I never thought the walkway was very practical...if your vinyl can't stand up to getting wet or the traffic of people getting in and out, then we have a vinyl problem, not people problem, IMO.
My boat has a center walkway, but I have never removed the pad that goes over it, because I like having one big sunpad.
People walk all over my boat(barefoot). And no, it's none the worse for wear. We're out for fun man! I'm not going to harass everyone about where their walking or standing or dripping. It's a friggin' boat!
hahaha! I did that to all my vinyl in my boat on Sunday but we didn't take it out. Went out yesterday on it and it wasn't too slippery (three days later).
I thought that Armor All was really bad for the vinyl on our boats- that it should never be applied. Ok, after a quick google, many mfgrs say no to Armor All.

We have a no shoe policy before someone gets on they give the shoes or don't get on. It's respect for someone elses property. Why is it acceptable to ask your friends to take off their shoes when then come into your home but not your boat? If they want to wear their shoes on the boat they don't want to go boating very badly...who wants that kind of person on their boat to begin with?
The comment about it's a friggin boat...and getting it wet and walking all over it...that's why some boats of the same make, model and year are with less than others. I haven't had any less fun out on the water with the no shoes rule, the request not requirement, to drip off a little before getting in the boat, than if I didn't have any rules at all.
I was looking at boats this past summer before buying the one we have. I went to look at a boat that was with out any rules. In fact there weren't many things this person followed most of which was cover thy boat in direct sun when sitting outside for years and years. It was a 2004 boat and it should have been selling for $35,000 easy if it had been in good to great condition. But after I looked at it, they honestly would have had to pay me to take it from them. The only good thing on the boat was the absolute guts of the boat. They boat the boat for $54,000 in 2004. It was a complete POS by 2010.
How about this...for those who wish not to follow the rules (requests mostly) have them clean out the boat at the end of the day. See how long it takes then to get those who don't want to do as asked to comlpy.
Reasons we bought a v vs a ve:
smaller sunpad
rear locker doors open a*s backwards. Can't believe Tige engineers did this.
rear lockers smaller therefore less room for gear and ballast
more difficult to work on if needing battery access or other mechanical issues
cost effective to replace vinyl after several years of use to be able to have bigger sunpad
family voted no on ve layout vs. v layout referencing the sunpad issue
