Just curious, how many of you with ve's and rz's actually have people that use the walk through constantly, with out having to remind them to use it.

Define adults, all of my 30 y/o friends seem to think the floor is lava. It kills me. Also for some odd reason the middle of the boat is the drip dry area, I hate to see them remain on the teak and help the next rider get ready and dry off there, that would not make any sense whatso ever. And then there is the guy who wears the shoes to step on the vinyl.
I hate being thier daddy and tell them not to put thier foot on the furniture, but I do, repeatedly. The worst day of boating is still the better than the best day of work......, unless you bend your prop.

The reason I ask is because my friend has always had a ve or rz. I on the other hand, I have always had my 22v. On his boat he just leaves the removeable pad in the walk way because no one ever uses it. Both of us are younger, to the point on who and who doesn't use the walk way.
I love my larger sun pad on my 22v and really would like tige to bring it back. I thought id see if it was more than us that rarely see it used, without being asked/told to.Last edited by spenchey2; 09-30-2010, 06:57 PM.

For those who have everyone walking all over the vinyl...is your vinyl any worse off because of it?
I never thought the walkway was very practical...if your vinyl can't stand up to getting wet or the traffic of people getting in and out, then we have a vinyl problem, not people problem, IMO.
My boat has a center walkway, but I have never removed the pad that goes over it, because I like having one big sunpad.Be excellent to one another.

I'm the one he is referring to and yes stays in place when it is underway no problem. I have taken it out maybe twice just to check on how full the pro ballast was in the rear that was it. Find it pointless to lay on 3/4 the sun pad when somebody can lay on the full thing. just my two cents.

The removable pad does stay in place when underway, even in choppy conditions. It also gives the sundeck a nice finished look. That being said, nobody ever really uses the walkthrough because its more convenient to step on the seat vinyl to enter and exit the boat than it is to use the wobbly corner step to reach the transom walkthrough. The vinyl is starting to rip and tear, and when you get the bill to replace that once you will start forcing everyone to use the walkthrough!
Does anyone want to build me a more solid corner step, to replace the POS that tige put in there? Its actually a good idea, just not executed well by tige due to cheap cushions.

I would still like to see more durable stitching though...Waiting for another good one!

I obviously don't have a walk through and I have no problems with vinyl cracking(etc.), but I also take great care of my boat.
