This is still too cold for us spoiled rotten Florida people.
I was wondering about the depth on Tarpon. Thonotosassa is almost the same. There is a nice line down the center where it stays around 13 to 15' deep. I really want to find some deeper water around Tampa, (minus the bay) because Ragboy has noted that 20' or deeper is a more desirable depth for surfing.

hey nobody, now that people are getting the hang of it, I would suggest a family Christmas present of an upgraded board. I have the same broadcast as you, and after surfing on a couple of inlands, I can't wait to upgrade. I think more capability for tricks and variations keeps interest up. That board will cruise ok, but then it is so slow, you can't do much with it, imo.

We have 3 boards. Big 5'4" Middle sized 4'6" and skim board.
Beyond that I know very little. I'm learning mostly from Ragboy's site. I have to make spots to mount the boards this winter.

Regarding lake depth. I really don't know of other deeper lakes around. Everything up near Brooksville dried up in the past decade.

It died last year on our boat. Did have a big enough wake or the right kind of wake.
