So wakeboarding season ended a little early for us. At least it was towards the end of the season. I still don't know exactly how I managed to break my tibia this bad. It happened on August 28 about 11 am right when we got out. I was the first boarder to go and was just getting warmed up, nothing crazy (21mph, 6' air, wake to wake). I did a tail grab and when I landed my back leg was straight, I guess I hyper extended it or something. Anyway I landed the jump haerd a pop and immediately went down. I knew right away I messed something up pretty bad. I thought it was my ACL along with other ligaments and/or tendods. Xrays revealed a broken tibia, but the surgeon said everything else looked good. Yeah so a plate and 7 screws later I am on my way to recovery, I guess no snowboarding this year
