    Wakeboard set up?

I have a 2006 22V. Awesome boat for surfing and wakeboarding.... then I wakeboarded behind a buddy's Air Natique. The 2 wakes are very different. The Natique's wake really pops you out of the water. So now when I wakeboard behind my boat, I fell I have to work so much harder to get the huge air. Anyone sac out their boat for wakeboarding? I have factory ballast in front and rear. I think each front is like 150lbs each for 300 total and back is 250lbs each for 300 total. Of course I have TAPS all the way down. Any wakeboard set up suggestions?
(by the way, I wouldn't trade my Tige' for the Natique. Surfing is terrible on the Natique and I like my Tige' much better. Just want the Wakeboard wake better.) thanks

You will need more weight all the way around, but getting a 60/40 front/back weight split will help steepen the wake up, at least it did on our Ve.

so what kind of weight? for surfing I put an 800lb and a 350lb in the back corner in addtion to my factory ballast.

maybe the 800 in the middle of the back seat and a 350 up front with the factory ballast?

Just read your post again. are you saying 60/40 with more weight in the front than the back?

TAPS will not have a set position, but needs to be used to adjust the wake depending on speed and the line length. But just an FYI, down (1) is ski mode and up (8) is wakeboard mode.

If you prefer a steep wake like the Nautique, then you need to move the TAPS plate up. Sounds like you are really flattening the wake out and having it in slalom mode. That makes for a terrible wakeboarding wake.

Even having done that, the Ve wake simply is not as vertical as some Nautique wakes. So you need to be on your edge better to get the pop you are looking for.
                Be excellent to one another.

Try putting TAPS at more like 2-4. Thats what we use. When its at 8, going fast the wake isnt that great.

With a 24V we go 2 750's in the back filled not quite to the max, and have tried a 450lb and 1000lbs in the bow.

My son and his buddies found the 750's + 450 is pretty good! We have to keeps taps at 4 think.

With 2x750's rear and a 1000 lbs in the the front, these guys were saying it was a world class wake! Cant recall what taps were set at.

i put 750lb up front in bow and two 250lb in each locker . 70 or 75' rope 22.5 mph and taps at 4 should do the trick.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

ok, I have the factory ballast in each locker at 250, so I will take my 800 and put it in the bow and set the TAPS at 4 and see how that goes. thanks.

I just sold my 06 22v but the ballast i had was ...... replaced the rear hard tanks with 550's then i over flowed the front hard tanks into a intergrated bow sack and then slapped a 750 in the bow way. If you want some wake picks just let me know but it for sure will POP you out of the water.

I ended up taking out the fron hard tanks as well in the front because the ended up cracking. so for the last year it was 550's in the rear. intergrated bow sack and then a 750 in the bow way. if you get rid of the front hard tanks you will get alot more storage as well

                            thanks for the help.
