Tower: "Z" series or "E" series
Tige Touch: no, just a 3: LCD screen
Swimstep: full size with square corners that some felt it hindered the surf wake.
Hard ballast above floor in locker???: A pair of 250lb hard tanks across the transom and a "U" shaped vinyl bow sac up front

Besides the overall quality of vinyl being superior on the new boats, the pattern is quite different. I think Tige was a bit out of touch when they put the majority of the vinyl as gray with white accents. That does not do so well when you are boating when it is bright and sunny. I would love that boat if I lived in Seattle. The new vinyl pattern is way better, IMO.
The windshiel on the 2011 does not go back as far as it did in 2007.
I wouldn't worry about the light grey on the vinyl, the temperature difference is negligible between the white and grey surfaces on my boat.
On my 2005 the colors were very similar.
The shiny silver/gray parts get scalding hot and would burn your feet within a second of contact when out in the summer sun and it was 110 degrees outside.
The normal gray could be downgraded to just burning hot and you could not walk on it unless your feet were wet. It might not have been so sensitive in other areas of the country without such heat, but on my 05 it was an issue for me.
The main area of concern was the back bench and the engine and storage hatch covers. All vinyl I have seen has been that way around here. My buddy's Malibu with the same vinyl pattern is equally hot, so despite the material being different, the gray is equally hot. One of the reasons I think an 09 is superior to an 07. Who knows, maybe the Tige vinyl is different.
But there is usually never a shortage of towels and water when in the boat, so overall it is a nuisance, not a major issue. I liked it least when getting ready to launch and the towels were still in the tow vehicle and there was no water.
Like I said, the difference is negligible between the two. When it's 110 out, both colors are hot as a mofo and I think it has to do with how soft that vinyl is or the weight of it or something. I feel like thicker vinyl doesn't get as hot but I'm probably wrong.

I think what he is saying is that he vehmently disagrees with me...but he is being nice.
Have to go with Tall on this one. My '05 has the white and "mushroom" (light brown) color they offered that year. Anything over 105, and the white is stil tolerable, but the mushroom burns immediately. I know the mushroom is darker than the grey, but the difference in heat from the white is drastic.
I also agree it is more of a nuisance because of towels, but my next boat will be almost all white on the vinyl.
