One less TIge on my lake today...

I was driving home from Cedar City, Utah this morning and came upon this accident. Sort of a bizarre scenario. Looks like the trailer somehow jacknifed and actually the truck then thrust itself on top of the trailer and the boat obviously went flying on the road, but did not appear to have rolled.

That was truly strange to see the truck resting on top of the trailer and the boat in the road. Weird. If anyone can explain how that happened it would be good to know.

Fortunately, all persons involved were out and walking around, seemed to be OK. I am not sure the Tige will do so well. With any luck, it would be new running gear and some fiberglass work and he will be back in action.

My guess, you completely blow up the front u-joint and stick the driveshaft in the pavement???

I bet the tower is cracked now too.

Do I see four people? or three?
The luck is gone, the brain is shot, but the liquor we still got.

That's bizarre. It almost like some huge dude, set that up with hotwheels, just to screw with you.

Looks like 4 to me too.

My guess is the truck went off the road and swerved back hard into his lane. This sent the boat around like a bull whip. I see it all the time, folks towing a boat and driving like their in a sports car...
            Waiting for another good one!

I think that there was another car that stopped to help that is just behind the boat or truck, so I am not sure if all 4 people were in the truck.

Interesting theories on how the trailer got under the truck. Can't say I have ever seen it before.

ok, I can see that, maybe slam on the brakes with truck on pave and boat more on dirt. That would throw it around hard. Thanks, I can sleep now. ;-)

I think he was pulling the truck with the boat.

You guys don't get it. The Tige was pulling the truck to the dump and swerved to miss a deer.

I saw a similar accident happen right in front of me a few years ago but the trailer was full of firewood. What I saw was a trailer that seemed to heavy for the truck and the truck changed lanes to fast. The trailer broke away and the trailer was sitting next to the truck instead of under it. I wonder if rear tie straps would've helped here?
