    ballast puppy wiring question

Hey guys one of my ballast puppys is mounted with the head up so any water leak will go down into the motor. I want to turn it so the impeller head is down. Obviously if I do this the switch and flow of water will be opposite of all the other pumps. I thought I had heard somewhere that you can cut the red and black wires that go from the plug to the pump and splice them into each other red to black and black to red and the pump and switch will run the same way as the rest of the pumps set up with head down. Can any one confirm this.

You are correct. I have done this on my pumps.

pop the switch out, pop the actuator (the cover) off, rotate the switch 180 and snap the actuator back on and pop back in the dash.

          Smart A$$.

Instead I am cutting and splicing wires. Even on the toggle switches on my MC, it would have been easier to remove the switch and flip it over.
