Looks like we'll be joining the Tige family!

I've posted several threads here recently while we've been researching a possible upgrade to our boat. My thanks to everyone who has been so patient with my questions and generous with their answers. I'm delighted to announce that it looks like we'll be joining the Tige family in the next couple of weeks!

I'd like to give a very public THANK YOU to Tony Forte of Forte's in Largo FL. He is working with us on our adoption of a new member of the family, a 24ve with the 343CAT engine. Tony is a solid guy who returns calls, answers questions, and goes the extra mile on everything. You read and hear a lot of negative comments about dealers so I think it's important to speak up when you have positive experiences.

Once we have the boat we'll be working on wakesurf ballast and other minor mods/upgrades. Being an Engineer, I tend to document things in great detail to help others. I hope to soon start contributing - instead of just being a consumer of - information.

I'll keep everyone posted as things develop. I'll probably have more questions too, so thanks in advance for the ongoing assistance!

SO the loaded questions are these:

Will you take the boat back to Florida for service, or will your local dealer work with you on any warranty issues that will come up?

Is it the blue and black one?

    Where are the pics?!

And congrats and welcome to the Tige family. It will be great to have you around.
    Be excellent to one another.

I have been talking to my local dealer. They had a similar boat but sold it, so they have no comparable boats to offer. I expect to have a great working relationship with them.

      See below....

Thank you! We are excited. We already wakeboard, and just last week tried wakesurfing. I got up and went ropeless (for ~10 seconds, but hey, I'll take it!) the first time I tried and my 8YO son got up twice after a few attempts, so we're stoked about a whole new sport to explore.

      Of course, our top boating speed is going to drop from ~52 MPH to the low 40's based on everyone's comments here, but we don't spend that much time at WOT anyway. {grin}

Another satisfied customer of Fortes! I bought through them as well, and have been extremely pleased with the service and friendships I have made thus far.

Look forward to the pics of your new boat and welcome to the Tige Fam!

Edit: Posted at the same time.... Very nice boat! I did one of my test rides in that one, before buying our 22Ve.

In the first pic, I do believe that is my red and black 22Ve on the left side of the pic.

Yes, I'm expecting this transaction to go very smoothly. The long-distance nature of it is complicating things but Tony is helping a lot.

Trust me, I'm looking forward to posting photos that *I* take with my *own* camera!

Congrats! I'm moving up to WA in Dec, we will have to meet up sometime next summer, maybe organize a little reunion up there. What lakes/rivers will you be on the most, I'll be in Spokane so I'll mostly be in Idaho. Coer'D Lane (still working on getting that right), Hayden and Pone D' Ray (working on that one too).

We have property on Twin Lakes, which is just north of Coeur d'Alene. Here's the view our new baby will see each morning:

I agree, let's get together once you're up here. A Tige reunion would be great, we could host it at our house.

Welcome. You'll never miss 52mph. 40ish will feel fast enough..... and you'll find 10.8mph with full ballast watching your kid/wife/friends or yourself surf while talking to the folks in the back of the boat is way more fun than blasting along 52.

You'll also find doing a hard over uTurn on glassy water at 30mph and feeling the skegs kick in is WAY WAY better than 52mph
