    Wow, that does suck.
    Hope all goes well.
chpthrl - I wouldn't think those eyes would be strong enough to hold the boat, but I am guessing they use them at the factory to move them around, right?
I was thinking once on the trailer, you could use a hydraulic jack to lift up the hull just enough to pull the straps out.

    GOOD LUCK!

That sucks! Ours appears to have just gotten wet as it was at the mechanic at the time (it's home since we bought it). We got some water in the house though. I was quite pissed at the time as I was up till 3am trying to pump water out from around the back of the house until I just gave up and went to bed. But when I saw just how bad it was in other parts of town I didn't feel so bad for myself anymore. Good luck to you.

Agree. I was gut-wrenched when I saw the boat until I realized how bad others were affected. It is after all, just a toy (one of my favorites, though) and we have insurance so I assume I will be okay. The lake is still closed and I don't see it opening anytime soon either.

Austin should have another month of good boating season, what a bummer.

Man that sucks. Sorry to see that. Hope they get ya up and floating again soon.

Is it Austin that's still closed? I was down by Travis yesterday and it looked like they were launching boats down there (although it was pretty murky nasty water).

x2 on the shop as the second home. My boat was spared the storm too since it was up at the shop. All in all it's spent nearly 12wks there this season. Lucky I don't live up north or I wouldn't have had a season...

Side bar...either of you Austin guys have a prop puller I could borrow?

I was in Travis on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday wasn't too bad but Sunday was quite crappy to launch as they opened up Starcke on Saturday night. Lots of trees/logs/branches and just crap in the water. I actually swam the boat out about 100 yards from the ramp before I jumped in and started it up.

WakeATX - Yes, Austin is still closed. They are trying to find one more person that was swept in at 2222 from what I was told. The lake is starting to clear a bit down the middle, but the sides have 50 feet of debris. I wouldn't drive anything out there now. Not sure how long it will take to clear. Looks pretty bad.

Strohlde- I do not. I will PM you if I find one. There is one person I can ask.

FYI - Crane guy canceled again. Trying again on Thursday.

Sorry I haven't broken down and bought a prop puller yet. Nettle has em if you wanna buy one. I'm one rock away from getting one myself... Actually, I know a guy I can ask too. I'll check and get back to ya if he has one.

I guess I shouldn't feel bad the boat's in the shop still. And like you guys have said there are a bunch of folks that didn't fare as well out of the storms so I count myself lucky.

I wonder if things are better up the chain a little further like at LBJ or Inks. Also haven't heard how bad it is or isn't over on the San Gabriel at Gtown either.

WakeATX - I have a prop puller if you want to borrow it. I live in South Austin (as you probably guessed) but I work at Mopac and Stec if you want to come by there. send me a PM if you want to set something up to borrow it.

bryancm - Sorry about your boat. But you are right, could have been way worse.

Well, a few months later, its finally fixed. Not much happening over here on the board lately, so I thought I would share.

The old graphics were a bit scratched up so we had intended on having a wrap/new graphics installed but once we removed the old ones, the solid white just looked pretty sweet. We added the newer chrome Tige decals to the back of each side and called it good.

There was obviously a fair amount of fiberglass/clear coat work that turned out great. New prop, strut, rudder, shaft, rubrail insert, triducer and tracking fins. I sanded and restored the swim deck.

Very happy with the work Ski Dock did. Boat looks great and everything works. I believe it to be even nicer than it was before the storm.

                          I'm going boating tomorrow!
