It is a small world here.

I have a riding buddy who is a total boat whore. It is hard not to invite a guy who is always ready to go and can land backside 7's and such behind the boat. Besides, he is a good guy and gives good tips to oversized, overaged, wannabes.

Anyway, he got invited to go out with the owner of the Tige that started this thread. He said the boat is in great shape, but not showroom condition. Everything ran perfectly, but with 1500 pounds of sacs and 6 people in the boat, it struggled to get on plane. But it probably has the stock prop and a 1235 would fix that. There are a few spots where the vinyl looks like it has had a little too much sun. Otherwise, it ran great and he had a great time. So I think my assessment is the same as before. Looks like a great boat, but still overpriced at 49K.
    Be excellent to one another.

Looks like the boat is for sale again. Interesting that it seems to have actually appreciated in value

Must be that Alpha Z tower that makes it worth so much.

That price will make it easier for him to upgrade and / or when he gets offered a lot less it wont be hard for him to agree.

It is interesting, I watch KSL and CL in CO, to see the same boats come up or stay up for sale.

He will probably get close to his asking price based on what I have seen. Yes they have appreciated in value Tall, I know you find that hard to believe but the laws of supply/demand/new purchase do actually come in to play sometimes.

I think it is the same owner. At least before, his name was Jared. But now it is in another city. It is not unbelievable that Jared sold it to another guy named Jared.

I too have observed the ads to keep an eye on the prices. Some of them are just ridiculous, and seem to have been on there on and off for a couple of years now. I think I made a reference to this on Ecutter's thread and seemed to get browbeaten a little bit. Comparing boats for sale and boats that have sold are 2 way different items.

I don't find it hard to believe. The part of me that is in a state of shock is that it is primarily based on the ever increasing prices of new boats, and that cycle cannot continue forever...or maybe it can? The only thing keeping the price of used boats from dropping, is the fact that new ones keep going up in price so quickly. It has been that way ever since 2000 or so. Maybe it will be that way for a while longer yet. Boat inflation seems to be much faster than inflation in the rest of the economy, so I wonder when it will end.

I love the principle, it allowed me to have better boats every couple of years without putting out more money. But now I see 50K buying less and less boat, and that is the natural result of the cycle.

Hey guys, new to this form and I know this thread is a little old, but looking to purchase a wakeboading boat, and after months of searching I came across one in my price range, near my lake, and with some styling that I fell in love with. Anyways its a 2007 Tige RZ2 and as you can see in the picture below it has the Alpha Z tower which didn't come out till 2010, so I was quite puzzled on how this could be possible. Well after searching for a little I stumbled on this thread, and saw a lot of similarities between the boat you guys were talking about and the one I am contemplating buying, but unfortunately the links that were posted are no longer active so I cannot confirm. So my question is, does anyone know if the boat that this thread was originally dedicated to, the same as the boat in the picture below, and if so is there any additional insider scoop on this boat? Thanks all for the help!

I think for a little more money you could buy my RZ4 posted in the classifieds with a better looking tower (my opinion) better looking colors (again my opinion), lower hours and a much better stereo!

                          Good luck with the boat!

I wish my memory were better. I was thinking it was a different color. But IIRC, the consensus was that only the factory would install an Alpha Z on a boat not designed for it in the first place. Somewhere around here is a thread that shows that the Alpha Z has big long backing plates glassed into the fiberglass, and it would be hard for the average Joe to just slap an Alpha Z on there, and I think I recall that the factory had a very firm stance that they would never sell it as an aftermarket part because it would be so much harder to install. They only did it on this one because it was the CEO's boat.

Thanks for the responses back guys! I just test drove the boat, the dealer said it was originally a Utah boat and has a single ballast bag on the port side, I'm thinking this is definitely the same boat. Pretty crazy it got all the way to Wisconsin...
