Values of used boats in Euros

Hi, I am new to the forum, so hello to everyone..

I have seen a 2005 22v lying in Mallorca that looks great, a couple of questions though.

    1) How is this boat in poor sea conditions? the sea state here is variable, sometimes it is mirror calm and other times runs 1m odd swells in short chops. I have a slight concern that this boat is a little too "lake" designed and might not be great in heavy seas.

    2) Value, this boat is excellent mechanical condition, the current owner is a very experienced professional marine engineer and has replaced or serviced just about everyting, he is asking 22,000€ for the boat, does this seem fair?

I am sure I will have tons of other questions, but thats all for now, thanks.

Where exactly do you plan to use this boat and for what purpose? Wakeboarding? Wakesurfing? Waterskiing? If so you probably would not want to go out in poor sea conditions. I believe these boats are designed more for lake use than ocean use but there are a few members on this site that use their boats on the ocean. These boats can handle rough water better than average for an inboard towboat but they are not as good as a deep-v or modified deep-v hull I/O for poor sea conditions. If you wait and go out on a nice calm day you should have no worries.

As far as the price in Europe, I really have no idea. In the US we have an organization called the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and they publish a guide of used prices for cars and boats. Most banks use the NADA price to determine the size of the loan for the boat. As far as I know there are no other companies or organizations that list the used prices of boats. You can try to price the boat your looking at on the nadaguides.com website and then convert the USD to the Euro but I would bet that Tige boats in Europe are a bit more expensive than in the US. It probably costs more to ship them there and they are probably more rare overseas as well.

Wow! only gone and bought it!

We took it out for a test run in a short chop and it handled very well.

Having hunted around the forum, it looks like the 22v has a much deeper V hull than other models and the interior layout certainly suited our requirements, the boat seems excellent and the qualities are far better than everything else we looked at.

So, having completely ignored our budget, we are now looking forward to enjoying plenty of time on our new toy.
