Looking for home close to the water!

    Hey everyone,

I have been looking for my first home here for about a year with no success. I have been looking in PA, MD and WV for places either on a lake river or the chesepeake. I work out of Fredrick MD for a company called Bechtel so I am trying to stay within 45 minutes drive of my work place. I was wondering if anyone on her knew of any homes in that general area that are for sale? It doesnt need to be directly on the water just close to it and doesnt have to be anything extravagant. If anyone has any suggestions please dont be afraid to throw them out there I am open to any ideas!

    Thanks,
    Ryan

EDIT: I will post below an idea of sa house I was looking at. It seemed perfect for my first house it was on a private lake and it was pretty good size. Only problem is they had a max boat length of 21ft and a max horsepower limit of 140!!!! So it was a no go but I did love the house and the huge garage and parking.

If you do the Chesapeake, the more North you go, the less saliene content - the water is still considered brackish, but is basically fresh water.

What about places like Woodstock, MD which is down Rt 70 from Frederick

I wanna live in one of those... very cool. Tie the old Tige up right off the front "porch". Now that's what I'm talkin' about.

Never heard of it before or looked there before I'll have to check it out. Have you ever been there before or know of any good places to look for houses out there?

Those big glass windows would not be good for my neighbors, or anyone else floating by
