    It's about time

Well after a few years owning the boat, we decided to tackle our biggest project/upgrade yet. The upholstery. So far we have added the tower/removed the ski pole, added speakers throughout (even though only the back 2 side panels are hooked up cause they havent blown yet) replaced the carpet, and added a stereo.

The qoutes were too high for us to get it done the last two years. This year i got a hold of a furniture upholsterer who works out of his home. His quote for the whole project was much lower but still more than we wanted to spend. So we saved 1K by doing the labour ourselves and just having him make the skins. I could dig up some before pics, but the afters are much better. Let me know what you guys think. the seats used to be white and gray with teal piping. we decided to go with a cream white and a perferated beige and black piping. Turned out great, comfy and functional. Didnt put the cupholder back on yet. were still debating if we want it on, since everyone just sits and stands on it. The piece is made and ready to put on in white and could look quite nice. we'll see.

Its double your worst nitemare on price and labor doing it yourself! I did mine this year and it sucked! I got 2 quotes $3600 and $4000 for everything. There was noooo way I could afford that and my intieror was falling apart and I was screwed. Then our rep and Tige came to the rescue!I got a great deal from Tige working for a Tige dealer really helped out!! They made me seat skins for my boat from the 2010 viynl. At a deal I could not pass up. I took it all apart. took it to a local guy and he charged me $600 to install the skins. When it even starts to look like it will need to be done again boat is for sale!

I never even took pics after I just wanted to forget about this project and move on with my life. Everybody comments on how great it turned out. All I say is never again. This boat has been a 2yr reclamation project that I am finally done with. Well I wnat to line-x the swim platform and add a foam pad ..hate taking care of teak. But I have her back in great shape. its much easier to keep it this way than it was to get it this way if you know what I mean.

I got the fabric at cost. 21 yards for 500. paid the guy 550 to sew the skins, had to spend 150 for some new foam, and bought some misc tools. in the end it was about 1250 canadian. not bad comparred to the qouted 3500.

The only annoying part for me was taking original vinyl and staples off a 14 yr old boat. they were rusted and brittle but i got it down to an art. It would have made a better winter project.

putting the vinyl back on is fairly easy with the right tools such as a air stapler and staple gun and a leather stretcher.

Looks great. I have pretty close to the exact same boat, I really wish I had some cup holders for the rear passengers. Something mounted to the backside of the engine cover. But thats only my opinion.

well if we dont put it on, i could sell it to you?? if it would work that is

i want to put it on but the other guys are worried the vinyl would be wrecked on the engine cover if it ever broke off.
