    Boat side swim platform brackets

Last weekend we were out on the lake swimming and we were throwing little ones off the swim platform with myself (190lbs)and a friend (265lbs) and kids (40-60lbs) and one of the brackets broke. The brackets seem like a poor design with only about a 1/4" of cheap pop aluminum behind the pin hole. I know it was quite a bit of weight but never realized the brackets were this flimsy. I ordered two new boat side brackets and they were only $25 a piece, has anyone ever installed these, they have large phillips screws and am wondering if the nuts or plate is glassed into the other side of the transom or will I have to remove the floor in my boat to hold it to get them started, by the way my boat is a 2006 20V, thanks

Where did you order them? I need some. Mine cracked after my in-laws broke them. My favorite beach chair was also crushed by one of them as well

Bad news for you is they don't stock them for the older boats. For my 1997 Tige', I took them to a welder shop and they made a set for me. I believe the cost was about $250 or so.
If its not fun, Why do it?

I tie my tube to the grab bar
Had over 800 lbs in the tube with no issues
Tige, it's a way of life!
