Think I got the wife moving in the direction of a new RZR but when our dealer quoted us 76g (in Canada) she brought up the idea of getting one out of the US again. It looks like at that price I could get a nice RZ2. I thank the couple of guys who have referred me to some dealers and I will explore them. Just wondering it looks like some states are cheaper than others. Would like to get a 2011 and might wait till end of next year when they start blowing them out.Just looking for opinions and thoughts. I tend to research things as much as I can and like to get advice from people in the know. Kinda a ext to the other thread I posted bout getting a boat from US.Let me know if I am wrong about pricing on the RZ2.We just want tower of power, ballast system, heaters,z tower for the most part. Thanks in advance Bibbs

While it may save you money to buy it in the US, what will happen for warranty repairs? My guess is that your local dealer will put you at the back of the line so to speak when it comes to getting something fixed. If you are buying new, I think buying from the dealer who is going to be maintaining your boat during the warranty period is the best bet. I think they will work with you on that price, that seems ridiculously high for a 20' boat.

I might go back to them and work with them being open about what happened last time. I can see it costing a little more to go to your local dealer, but not that much.Be excellent to one another.

The dealer brought my last boat in for me from a dealer in the US who was having trouble unloading a couple of 20Vs. He passed the 10g savings on to me.The quote was for trailer and boat with z tower, tower of power speakers, heater, cover. It is the first pricing and I know there is room, just looks like I can get a good equiped RZ2 for that price or cheaper in the US. If I am off base let me know. For the record my dealer is good its just if I can save 10g I will.Last edited by Bibbs; 08-16-2010, 07:05 PM.

That price seems high! Considering it's the replacement for the 20v....
This will be a interesting thread
All i can say is that i drove it saw it and it will be 60 to 70.
If you want it to be like the 20v then you will be purchasing the R20 thats is the idea.FairTax.org

I was a little shocked at the price and that is why I am looking to see what other prices are--cover all basis. I agree with supporting local dealer and that is why I will ask them again bout price. Just want to see if I get a new one or stay with my 20v. Like I said our summers are short and it is a chunk of coin. I certainly do not want to cause a stir. That price was for a few good options but certainly not decked out--base motor even. I appreciate the replies I have gotten on my PMs also.

The sticker on my 09 RZ2 was 72, I got it for less than that, but that was the sticker. It has basic premium sound, base level ballast, no heater and the PCM 343 but all the other options including bimini and vision air chair and transom remote. Of course the major difference to the current model is the Tige Touch, which I understand is a bit more than the regular switches I have on my dash. I agree that sounds a little high for the RZR but I don't know what the price is on the 2010-11 RZ2. I'm sure you know that 76 Canadian is 72,915 USD and I would bet the difference would be made up on the import duty.
As far as the cheapest state, dealers in TX would probably have to pay the least for shipments but if you buy in any of the states you shouldn't have to pay tax. If you intend to register in another state or in this case country I usually do the registration paperwork myself and pay the tax where it gets registered, not where you bought it.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.
