Rz2 wake great for surfing but how's the wakeboard wake?

So I have seen many threads on the wake surfing wake. But how is the wake boarding wake? I hav never seen or heard any reviews on this.

I was actually thinking about that as we drove in last night, it looks nice, but we don't get the wakeboards out anymore.

Ya if you ever get a chance and have your weight even not all one one side going around 20-22 snap some pics I would love to see it.

Tell us your weight setup...is that no weight, stock weight, Pro ballast option, or custom?

yep same question how much weight? Also looks like the goofy foot heal side has a better ramp, but that's ok with me becuase I am goofy but also from that pics looks like you just came out of a turn or you are still making a slight turn. And what length of rope and what speed was that at? looks like it has a very nice clean lip it took forever placing weight around to get my 21i to not have a washed out lip. Hopefully the 21V will be a little easier, I will find out tomorrow ( weather permitting )

Don't know if this will help or not, but I've had a couple of buddies that wakeskate out and both of them asked me to knock the ramp down. Here's a pic at 22mph with taps at 3. No wieght. (400 lbs people.)

Look around for some of Matt's posts, he wakeboards a lot and has pics out there of it. It's a decent wake and swells up with ballast. I always ride behind mine without ballast and taps at 4 or so but I am not that good of a rider. I rode behind an '07 with the factory ballast option that was available back then and it scared the crap out of me but I had only been riding for about 2 years back then, not scared anymore. LOL

                      It's terrible...(kidding)

Compared to my wake, it gives a bunch more pop. I've heard complaints about the width of the wake...but I just attribute that to whining.

I'd recommend you watch the videos of Nick Weinacker describing the RZ2 wake characteristics. It's pretty interesting about how much engineering goes into creating that wake. Nick does a great job making that easy to understand. It'll help you adjust your own wake...

In that picture we had 250 pounds in each rear corner of the boat. We were going 20 mph and the taps were set at 3. I want to say I was riding at 70 feet but I'm not completely sure.

Pictures and descriptions of the 22Ve wake will also represent the RZ2 as they are the same hull below the water line.

The wake is very nice, I'll post some pics after next weekend, the boats in for 25 hr service but wasn't ready this sat :-(

I've had some good riders out with me just after I got it and the basic ballast (500 in rear, 400 up front) made a very clean ramp, it's a little bit adjustable with taps, we were using it about 4-6 ish. One buddy had just sold his 08 BU and he really liked the wake and the walkthrough to the transom. The wake is a little wider than his boat but he was easily able to land inverts wake to wake.

Other than our Tige RZ2, I have only ridden on a few Bu s. I notice our RZ2 wake is very sensitive to weight (more so than the Bu s I have been on). I have a 150 brick I move back and forth in the back to make adjustments.

I think the sensitivity to weight is part of the reason it makes such a great surf wake (leans over easier perhaps).
