I know Tige is quality and this is probably a bad comparison but I am just trying to say that Tige could get a lot bigger customer base by having a lower price.. not trying to argue or anything but there are people out there that don't want to spend big money for a boat they don't get to use all year round
Yeah cadilac tried that approach with the cimmarron. They spent years digging out of that hole.
I want a Lambo for the price of my camry but its not going to friggin happen.
Tige is building a high quality boat at the best price they can IMPO.

I don't think Tige is looking to expand their customer base down to the runabout crowd, that would be like BMW trying to sell cars to Chevy customers. The R20 is already pushing the limits on the low end and looks to be at the Moomba/Axis level which is your entry level wakeboard boats. Supra/Malibu created entirely new brands for their low end boats. You get what you pay for. When I looked at the Moomba's they were nice but they didn't have that same feel as a Tige. Kind of like when you go look at a luxury car, you don't want to go to BMW/Audi/Lexus/Mercedes/Cadillac and feel like you're buying a Chevy/Ford.

I love my V-Drive seating and storage but I've been a few I/O's that appeared to be equally well put together for substantially less money. I'm not arguing, I'd just like to look the next time I see the two together.
I agree my father in-law has a 22ft Sea Ray I/O boat has plenty of seating, has a cuddy, very nice over all boat I think the quality of the interior is very good makes an ok wake. It is the boat I learned to wake board on and got me into boating and wanting to purchase a inboard ( for a better wake board boat) and found a local Tige for a great deal. Oh had his boat was a lot cheaper.

I also find it funny people are debating the price of the R20 when it isnt even listed yet

That's what Boatmate's have been coming with for awhile. Wonder how the spare works?

That is probably an option also.

Wow, quite the debate. I'm going to have to side with 91term on this one. Now, I know I only own an out of date, wood stringered '00 Tige but, I bought it based on a design philosophy. I'd like to think Tige has stayed true to that philosophy. If I just wanted something to get on the water with, I would have bought a Bayliner. I wanted the best built boat I could find and bought just that. IMO, people who can't see the value in owning a well built machine when a marginally built machine will do basically (to them) the same thing, will never see the value of quality construction. I don't see any reason for Tige to try and cater to those people. The R20 is as close as they should ever get. Having everything optional is the only way to do it without sacrificing the part that is important, the build.

Did I mention I like these new 20's. I do. The RZR is the best looking 20' wakeboat I've ever seen. Well done boys.

Go test drive a Tige and a Bayliner and you will see and feel why the Tige costs a lot more
