I like the blister warranty. That is the most important to me because mine is in the water so much. Can never take it out cause we use it everyday. Only comes out to clean and fuel. So the blister warranty is the biggest seller to me. If I can buy a 17k bayliner and leave it in the lake for 3 months a year for 10 years with out blisters I should be able to buy a 60K+ boat and do the same.

It would have been either a 2006 or 2007, not sure which they had there in May of 2007. It was the fit and finish that totally killed it for me. Seams didn't line up, carpet edges were visible and crappy looking, carpet was not comfy on the feet, etc... My 2002 was/is far superior in quality- not perfect by any means, but far better. Malibu recognized this brand dilution and launched the Axis budget brand. Obviously, it's not the ONLY reason, but significant just the same. So...being a Tige Man to the bone as well, I would cry (probably literally lol) if Tige followed the same missteps as Malibu did w/ the V-Ride/I-ride.
      IMHO.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Do you use any type of anti-fouling paint? That would help prevent the inevitable gel-goat blisters.

You really should give the RZ (pickle fork) a look. When we were looking I was the same way. I hated the X Star, hated the Axis A22. We went out and test drove an RZ2, Malibu VLX, and Supra 22V. Going into it I was pro Malibu and my girlfriend was pro Supra. We both came away loving the RZ2. Everything from the ride/handling, wake, interior space...it all was better on the Tige. To top it off, when seeing it in the water it looked even better than the Malibu and Supra. We both couldn't believe it. I don't think there's a better looking boat than the RZ2. Seeing it in person, on the water, is the only way to do it justice.

          Just my .02...

If you look at the pictures the green boat appears to be an RZR and it has the same rear seat hump you see on the R20.

Is Interesting that the R20 has no ski pylon and no rope hookup on stern grab bar.

I wonder if carpeting is optionon R20. Either way they are sweet especially with service package. Wow. Definetly will kick arse..

But still no grab bars in cockpit?

So does the R20 tube tower fold down? Hard to tell from the pictures.

Better read that blister warranty before betting on it. It probably excludes boats that sit in the water longer then X days.

Ok I must chime in here and hope Tige listens to a customer like myself... I love boating... absolutely love it and here in Central IL I can do it for roughly 5 months give or take. To me and most of the people I know spending 50k on a new boat is ridiculous because we just get to use it for 5 months of the year the other 7 months its sitting in storage. A price point boat should cater to people like myself who don't want/need to spend the big bucks on a boat. Price point should be in the 35k area... I mean come on guys I love my Tige 20i and it does pretty much what I want it to but a v drive would be nice. I don't know I guess I am just rambling but to me price point is not 40k+ and I believe it makes wakeboard companies like Tige lose customers to the Rinkers , and Chaparall's of the boating industry. Yes yes I know those are I/O but I believe people would buy more inboards if they were more cost effective. Maybe this is just me but I think its more...

                        WTF?!?

Lack of TAPS kills the deal instantly, at least for me. TAPS and the Tige hull are the two main advantages of Tige. Having a few ballast bags here and there is NOT the same as TAPS. That can be done in any boat from any manufacturer.

The R20 just became completely meaningless IMHO.

It is very surprising that TAPS is an option at all. TAPS is Tige.

X2 TAPS is Tige, I was suprised to read that also, I wonder at what position the plate is fixed at???

You are gonna want a few ballast bags even with TAPS.

TAPS is no instant ballast maker but a wake shaper IMO. The size might increase slightly but that is probably because the lip gets sharper with more TAPS and rounded with less TAPS.

                                Don't confused TAPS for ballast.
