That fold up bow cushion/cooler is nice our bow cushion is always in and I would rather the cooler be up there anyway.
    More bow ballast
And the when our cushion is in the bow cup holders are covered so Tige took care of that issue also

Does the RZR have the same rear bench configuration as the RZ0? I'm assuming yes?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Yeah, that's my thread. We're generally looking for used because I prefer to let someone else take the depreciation hit, but wondered if cutting out things we don't care about - but that can be added later if necessary for resale - would help a bit.

Apparently Tige is listening, because here comes the R20! As soon as I mentioned it to my wife (just minutes ago) she became very excited. How great is that, folks... a WIFE that is excited about buying a boat! She wanted to know if there were photos and hovered behind me at the computer while I looked around.

But then she saw it's a picklefork, and the deal was off. For some reason she hates the look of a picklefork bow, and while she's very logical and levelheaded, appearance *does* matter now and then. So does a happy wife. It matters to her, so it matters to me.

Thus I'm back to wondering if deleting some things could make a 22ve affordable enough. And there are those other brands out there, too....

Go test drive a regular boat and a picklefork and make sure to have her sit up front and she'll gain a whole new appreciation for the picklefork. You basically get a 2' longer boat due to the larger bow.

I won't buy another boat besides a picklefork. All the kids love to sit in that area and our friends have purchased pickleforks because of the amount of room.

The RZ0 and RZR don't seem to be that large of a picklefork IMO. Have Tige get you down to their plant to walk around and test drive what they have on the lot. I think you and your wife might be amazed.

Then there is the Z1 that you might want to look into if the picklefork isn't for you. The 20V is also a nice boat but small for larger families.

So, I am saying, test drive them all and have Tige show you what they have. I think you will be amazed at how well they do and the forum here...

PM tigepigeon and ask when he is heading up to Washington (I am assuming that you are living in Washington based on your username ) and ask him when he is heading up there so you can test drive.

I 2nd what Timmy stated. Go get in it, get it on the water, etc. The feel and room of the pickle will change minds. I love the looks of the classic nose, but the room of a pickle just doesnt compare.

My , the reason for the smaller boats with less options is to fit those budgets without ripping the guts out of a 22Ve/Rz2. Same reason dealers carry more then one line.....if one doesnt fit, "let me show you another" kinda thing. On the other hand, Tige does offer many things as an option, many more them other brands.

Definetly a Moomba Outback V killer. R20 base is just over the Moomba base price and the RZR base model is slightly higher than a modestly equiped Moomba.

With my 20V gone this is definetly replacement material. This is gonna sell...

Is there any reason to prefer one over the other for wakeboarding and wakesurfing? In other words, is there a significant difference with respect to the hull and the wake that is produced?

My wife's focus on the boat is because our eight year old son has been "discovered" by a local pro, who after seeing him behind our current boat came by and offered to coach him because he "can't believe what he's already doing at eight years old." Our current boat will never throw a good wake, tbough (never designed to) so here I am, scanning Craiglist for Tige and Nautique.

I mention this to point out that my wife's reason for interest in replacing the boat is purely for improving my son's wakeboarding and wakesurfing. If the picklefork hull helps with that, she might bend. If it's neutral to negative, she'll stand firm.

Lets take the Ve and RZ2/4 models for example. They all have the same wetted surface, the part below the waterline, so for the most part, the wakes are basically identical. Now, I have heard that many of the Tige Pro riders have noted that the pickles dig into the water and degrade the wake at some point when LOTS of ballast is added. Were talking like 3k + ballast before that would be an issue.

So, for an average boater/rider, there would be no advantage or disadvantage to the pickle IMO.
