So we were out all day today, from like 9am til 5pm. GREAT day with the new 2010 RZ2.
First, we have an FAE on our 24Ve, I would go so far as to say, after having it, it should be mandatory. Totally cleans up the exhaust while moving. No question.
Well, I rode in the 2010 Tige RZ2s that were NOT for california, so they didn't have the new PCM cat engines.
Here is a pic of my new engine in the tige, the EX-343 catanium from PCM.
In the NON cat engine, all day, in the ballast boy seat, I could smell the exhaust, and now having a FAE, have become more sensitive to it. It was as bad as my 24Ve before FAE. Now all day in that seat with the cat motor, its like having an FAE, no kidding. I was with Bre Horton all day, she was laying on back of boat taking pics, she also was amazed. She thought I had FAE on the new RZ2. It was that clean.
Don't take this and run with it yet, I think I should take some measurements, but it was VERY noticeable.
Another testimony...
Ken Stanek was the photographer at the NW Open we just came from. He harnesses himself in for safety and then stands on swim deck all day, taking shots. Last year, he got visibly effected by CO. Had to take a break, and had a huge headache, looked horrible. This year, the centurions had the same CAT motors on them. He got sunburned, and I talked to him at end, and he said it was also a huge difference. He didn't feel exposed at all after standing on the swimdeck for hours on end.
Stay tuned for more. My suggestion, put these on all boats, not just california. Order yours with the CAT.
