    Alpha Z Bimini Install

For a 2009 22Ve.....Just ordered the extended bimini and and going to try the install myself. I notice i already have what look to be 4 pre-drilled holes, but on all the new towers I am seeing a stainless steel looking clamp (attachment) on the outside of the towers towards the top where the bimini poles go into as well. There may even be 2 more additional mounts as my 2nd picture shows further on top. Are all of these used?

My tower does not have those pre-installed, so 2 questions:

Will those stainless mounting clamps come with my bimini purchase? And if so, how hard will it be to install those? Do i need to drill into my tower? How will i know where to drill at or what exactly to do?

Those metal clips for the bimini are held on with two hex head screws. I'm going out on my boat this afternoon after work. I'll take one off and post some pics for you. Right now I'm thinking all you will need to do is drill and tap the threads for the two hex head screws. The location will be tricky, I'll try and take pics with dimensions for you as well but hopefully the top will come with descent instructions.

Your tower should already have the rear holes drilled, they are on the back of the tower and should have black plastic caps on them. This is where the two rear support poles slide into (sts).
