    Towing with Class A Motorhome

I'm thinking about getting into a Class A motorhome. Does anyone pull with a Class A and how difficult is it? Gas units are quite a bit cheaper than diesel's but i would have to imagine you would definately want a diesel for towing.
I'd rather be a conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job.

I tow my 21v with a 32' southwind class a. It tows really well. I've towed with a 24' class c (ford v10) then a 29' class a with a cummins diesel, and now a 32' gm 8.1 liter w/ Alison trans. My 8.1 liter is by far the best pulling of the 3 I've owned. You do not have to have a diesel to tow, you just need to find the right year with the right power.

We pull ours with a 26 ft 1985 Itasca class C that has a Ford carbed 460, 3 spd C-6 and Gear vendors O/D.
The kids sleep in it overnight so we just pull out in the morning with them still asleep.
      Towing with it is great.
Can hardly tell the boat's back there until we get to a hill.
Going up hills with the carbed 460 requires patience.
We go up the steep hills around here at 35-40 mph because I don't push the engine.
Gets 9.5 mpg towing or not.
We tow 38 miles to the closest lake, but still burn more in the boat for a day trip.
Launching is great with the long rear overhang.
I stop backing when I see the ring in the water when the tires just get to the water.
      We're looking to upgrade to a 29-30 ft class C with the Ford V-10 & 5 speed.
People I've talked to say the V-10 has a lot more torque for pulling hills and gets better mileage.
I installed aux fuel pumps in the RV and boat so we can move gas back and forth if needed.
