Boater's Beach in Idiana??????

I heard of a place in Northern IN where there's an awesome lake and a cool island where you can camp. I was told it's called "Boater's Beach" I think. Does anyone know what lake they were talking about? I've googled it but can't find anything.

A couple of real nice lakes that are not shallow and have sand bottoms are Lake Syracuse and Lake Wawasee in Syracuse,In

Only downside is there are no campgrounds and very limted 1950 style Hotel rooms. Goshen or Elkhart have nice rooms if you sre doing a weekend trip.

We go there since that is where folks retired and that with the two lakes connected by a channel you have a smaller lake which is good for skiing and Wawasee for part sand bar and just boat rides.

We actually wanted to camp out on the island. I think I'm going to have to do some more digging around. Neither one of those lakes sounds familiar....wish I would have paid more attention.
