575 seems like a pretty big number. Shouldn't it be about 10% of your boat weight? 2000 22i's aren't 5750 lb.s. Is it possible I have a v-drive trailer? Was the 2000 v-drive hull the same as the d-drive hull? Has anyone out there bought a new trailer? It's going to cost me at least 2k to cut the axles off, move them and get a paint job. It seems at that rate I could just get a new one.

Thanx for your reply cmb. I think I'm just going to upgade to a Titan hitch, reciever and extention. It's all 2 1/2" as opposed to the 2" stock hitch set up on the GMC's. Cost is around $500.00. By the way, nice boat. The orange looks good against all that Hotlanta green. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

on the subject of trailer tongue weight
The havy tongue weight of my 24V causes my poor 98 GMC yukon to squat like a dog after eating chocolate. I have heard mention of load stabilizers and/or air shocks to remedy this. Anyone have experience with these? Heavier springs would also work but would alter unladen ride performance.
Thanks,
Al

AIR BAGS
Air bags in the rear suspension should take 90% of your issues away. You just fill them up once you have your load hooked up and off you go. I put some on my '04 GMC 2500HD and they work perfect. I don't need them when I'm towing just the boat, but when I put my truck camper on it is an absolute must. When you are done just drain them down to 10 or 15 pound and you can't even notice them. They might even help your ride when not towing. I had a '95 2500 suburban and it drove like a wet sponge. If you've got a boat that nice though you should up grade to a new truck. The Duramax/Allison combo is unreal.
I'll never go back to gas. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I tried a suspension product on a 94 Toyota T100. I am a contractor and it is used for work. It was always dragging the mud flaps with any weight in the rear. I was driving it with a heavy load and felt it was unsafe. I asked my mechanic for a solution and he directed me to Roadmaster Active Suspension. It was amazing! I installed it myself with some new shocks and it changed the ride of the vehicle dramatically for the better. It does not make the ride worse when unloaded. It's worth looking into.Mike Allen, Tigé owner since 1997
